I was referred here to Dr. Starkman, a periodontist, by my dentist in Jensen Beach. Dr. Starkman appeared knowledgeable and prescribed a plan of action to take care of my main issue, an abscessed bicuspid. However, when I asked for more in depth information about how a certain procedure is accomplished, he told me I don’t need to know, that I wouldn’t understand it anyway. I subsequently researched it because I in fact DO need to know. Despite the doctor’s low opinion of my capacity to comprehend dental procedures, I now understand the procedure in question, although, as was forced to rely on internet info, my info may not be as accurate as it might have been had he simply answered my question. In any case, I consented to move ahead with parts one and two of the treatment plan at Great Expressions with Dr. Starkman as I trust he is skilled at what he does and will do a good job. 12/26/24 I returned to GE to see the endodontist Dr. Ghattas for a consult on the same tooth. After examining all pros and cons I opted to gamble on a root canal knowing it might not be successful in order to try and save my tooth. Unfortunately it turned out the tooth could not sustain the treatment so we did not fully proceed. Dr.

Sandra Ghattas is wonderful. She explained everything to me in detail and was up front about all possible outcomes. Dr. Ghattas was also caring and gentle throughout the entire procedure. I’m very glad I gave that option a try. Had I not tried to save the tooth I would have second guessed myself about extracting it. Now I know it’s my only option. The technicians were thorough and kind and appeared knowledgeable. Daniel in particular is great. My own Dentist, Dr. Amanda Won stopped in to check on me. She is an absolute angel in human form. The staff here is quite kind and helpful including the people at the desk. I will see Dr.

Starkman in January for an extraction of the troublesome tooth and to begin the process for a bone graft and dental implants. (Meanwhile I have done my own research on what he thought I didn’t need to know and wouldn’t understand. Now I know 05/17/25 Fast forward to May. Dr. Starkman did an excellent job on placing my implants in January and I will be getting the impressions done in a couple of weeks by Dr. Won for placement of the crowns. Meanwhile last Sunday my (previously installed elsewhere) 6 tooth bridge just fell out. I was seen on Tuesday by Dr. Smith who did an amazing job of cementing it back in place where it hopefully will remain for the foreseeable future. She also FINALLY found the source of the pain on the opposite side of my mouth, a 9mm pocket which had been eluding detection for months even through a deep cleaning because it curves off. I have an appointment with Dr. Starkman on Monday to assess that situation. All in all I am very satisfied with the entire staff at this establishment.

I just had my first appointment there, and they treated me great! Dr. Won is so intelligent and does a tremendous job explaining everything. Ms. Emily is a true professional and made me feel super comfortable. The office staff was courteous and helpful from start to finish. I really appreciate the team they have there :)

It was good and thorough I had Dr. Smith. Like any business, they tried to sell extra services, but there was no pressure just recommendations. My teeth were fine. maybe take The recommendations later because they make sense.
