The Ithaca office is just rude. I sat for 50 min in an exam room waiting for the Dentist. Someone came in after about 15 min but she just grabbed stuff off the counter and left without so much as a smile. 20 more min later I had to grab someone from the hallway to ask if the dentist will need to reschedule with me because my wait had become ridiculous. I'm not an unreasonable person. I know doctors, dentists, get behind but AT LEAST COME IN AND SMILE AND SAY "HEY, WE'RE SORRY FOR THE WAIT, THANKS FOR BEING PATIENT.

" When the dentist came in and said hello, how are you, I told her I was unhappy for the 50 min delay with no idea what was going on. She said, "well my patient before you had a longer procedure than we thought it would be. " Um, okay but tell me! Jesus, acknowledge my presence in this office waiting and waiting. When I got NJ I don't think I'll go back to this.

TL;DR: They chipped two teeth while sloppily filling cavities. Do not go here. I went to Aspen Dental because they were in-network. At my first appointment, they didn't do a cleaning (they were booking many months out), but they did have enough time to tell me about my cavities, scan my teeth, and try to sell me invisalign. When I came back for my cavity fillings (which they were able to book quickly, as they are the real money makers), the experience was uncomfortable. The assistants were young and unprofessional, talking frequently about their personal lives.

The Dentist—Dr. Aspen—carved out my cavities without too much caution or exactness. She filled them with a composite I've never had before and then didn't shape them well. I switched dentists and am happy I ended up at Twin Sheep. If you have dental insurance and are worried about going out of network, don't be! The reimbursement process is not difficult, and, after reimbursement, it was cheaper than anything Aspen Dental charged. At my new dentists, they identified two chips next to my new cavity fillings from Aspen Dental—chips from a dental drill that had not been carefully handled.

The x-rays I brought with me from Aspen were completely unusable, even though they took so many of them. At Aspen, their machine drifts away from the intended area, so the images are blurry. If I had understood my insurance better, I would have gone somewhere else immediately after the first appointment. The office is uncomfortable; the dental assistants are unprofessional; and Dr. Aspen does not do careful work.

Do not use this place. I needed a new partial upper plate. It was supposed to be in in 4 weeks. It was over 4 months and then I lost a tooth from it. I went back to inquire if I could get a tooth replaced, they said it would take 4 months because they would have to send it back to China where the upper plate was made. All said to me with a joke style laugh.

This is because I didn't appreciate the lying about the time it took. I went on vacation missing teeth and also my granddaughters wedding. They didn't care one single bit. They also tried to charge me more than what they said but I showed that I paid all in full prior to any work done. I trusted and all they wanted to do was screw me more and try to get me to pay for another upper plate.

Dr. Aspen was wonderful, she is so patient. Her professional manner was truly very relaxing for my experience today. 21 extractions and denture placement with very little pain. I would recommend Aspen Dental to anyone.
