Not sure how they even had 4 stars. The staff were fairly nice. But the facility was not well maintained and the whole thing felt like a sales pitch. They force you to make three different appointments for xray, exam and cleaning.

I was also told I must do a $1200 bacterial cleaning system before I could get a cleaning. I only briefly talked to the doctor via TELEVISIT who contributed nothing to the visit. I will happily pay out of pocket to go to an alternative legitimate facility.

⭐ 1 Star I had a terrible experience with Gold Coastal Dental Office. I originally booked an appointment for 8:00 AM yesterday (which I scheduled at 2 AM), but I was struggling to locate my insurance info from my job. I tried calling an hour before the appointment, only to realize the office was still closed. On top of that, I had just picked up a shift at work, and it completely slipped my mind to cancel. Instead of understanding, the office secretary called me and said, “I’m trying to figure out why you haven’t shown up for your appointment.

” That’s how she greeted me—no professionalism, no courtesy. I tried calmly explaining the situation, including the issue with my insurance and the fact that I did try calling. She was rude, kept cutting me off, and accused me of “talking smart” when I wasn’t being disrespectful at all. Then she went ahead and canceled my appointment. Today (May 21), I called at 11:00 AM and booked another appointment for 3:30 PM.

At 12:25 PM, they called me back just to say I was being taken off the schedule because of the “back and forth” from the day before. Meanwhile, I’m dealing with a throbbing toothache and just trying to get care. Unprofessional, unempathetic, and completely dismissive. I do not recommend this office to anyone—especially if you’re in pain and looking for understanding or flexibility.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the service I received at Coastal Dental. I had an appointment that was confirmed multiple times—both by text and email from their own system. I confirmed everything as requested and arrived on time, fully prepared. When I got to the office, I was told that my appointment wasn’t in the system at all. I showed them the confirmation messages I received, and rather than trying to resolve the issue, the front desk staff just shrugged and said, “It’s not my problem. ” I was told I could wait, but probably wouldn’t be seen.

This is unacceptable. Not only was there a clear breakdown on their end, but the complete lack of accountability and customer care was even worse. I took time out of my day for this appointment, and Coastal Dental showed zero regard for that. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values their time or expects basic professionalism.

BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!! I had to go in for an emergency root canal 7 months ago. Three months after my appointment, I received a message saying I owed $400+. Turns out they didn’t submit the claim correctly to my insurance and needed to resubmit. Even though I called the office multiple times and provided my information, they never did and somehow the amount went up to $700+ mysteriously. Not only that, the root canal got infected since it was done poorly and they entertained me for 2 weeks+ without checking me out because they refused to let me know if they would cover the cost of fixing it and even though I tried to schedule appointments they cancel or reschedule my appointments the morning of.

I have tried calling every single number, including the one on the other reviews saying to contact their “quality assurance” team (it’s not true, it’s just another call center dead end). After lots of insistence today at the office and waiting almost two hours after my appointment time, I was told that they cannot treat me because of the balance that I owe, since my claims were never resubmitted, and they actually told me I now “owe” $900 because there is a second claim they never told me about that wasn’t done with my insurance. I am in shock at the rudeness, lack of sensibility and concern of all this staff. All of my appointments with them took place between September-January and now, in July they still haven’t dealt with these claims, even though I even went in person to give them my insurance information written down since they won’t listen over the phone. I even requested my dental records and x-rays and didn’t receive them, which is illegal, as I am entitled to request them and filled out the required form.

the office prefers to openly ignore me even if I’m there sitting for hours waiting for answers they never give. I will be going with a different provider to evaluate how bad is the damage done by Coast Dental and will have to start taking legal action.
