If I could give 0 stars I would! I was told by 2 dentists at the St Lucie West location that I received hundreds of dollars in unnecessary treatments from a dentist that is no longer employed there. I was promised a refund by 3 different “office mangers” as well as someone from the corporate offices. Now 1 1/2 years and dozens of calls later…I still have no refund.

Since I no longer expect that I will get one, I decided to share my experience and warn everyone of the dishonesty of Coast employees.

My wife was over charged for the dental work over a year ago. Over a year later they sent us another invoice for a balance they omitted for work done in January 2024. This is why we would never have work done there. I was told a supervisor would call me back to discuus the false balance and they never called back. I will be reporting them.

RED FLAG BEWARE First and foremost I want to say the front office staff and X-ray tech were very nice and professional. That’s where it all stopped. I am 56 yrs old with very good dental insurance and have been going to the dentist regularly for many years now. I recently moved here and this office was recommended on a group chat in my community. I scheduled an exam and cleaning. I was called in for my X-rays and was informed by the tech that I needed a “panoramic” X-ray in addition to my basic X-rays but it wouldn't be covered under my insurance. $23 would be the cost. Red flag #1 After the X-rays the tech informed me that I needed to switch rooms to see the dentist for the exam. Tech stated you will be seeing the dentist via tele doc! There was no dentist working at the office. Wow Red flag #2 After doing the tele doc. With the dentist the hygentist came in and asked when was the last time I had a “deep cleaning” done.

I told her I wasn’t sure and that my brother(who was my dentist back up north and who has been a dentist for the last 35 yrs) never told me a needed a “deep cleaning”…. I’ve never had any issues with my teeth other than a cavity here and there. Red Flag #3 After several minutes the hygienist (named daisey) returned and informed me that a needed a deep cleaning and gave me a list of out of pocket fees that insurance would not cover. $238 to be exact. I thought this was wierd because I heard daisey telling the patient in the next room the same exact thing. Same rehearsed skit. Same price $238. That woman got into an argument with daisey and got up and left. I should mention that Daisey also informed me that all my future visits would be considered “maintenance” visits and would cost me $74 out of pocket. Red Flag #4 I started to question daisey about the extra fees; *Gingival irrigation - $11 per tooth *Needle Free Amesthetic - $15 per tooth * Application of Desenstiz - $26 *Fluoride tooth paste - $15 *Antibiotic LOC Del $60 per tooth I told her I’ve never in my life been charged these fees or heard of anything like this. Daisey became a little combative and told me “this is how’s it’s done”, “Go online and google it”.

Wow. Red Flag #5 So after 2 hours at this dental office I decide to hold off on any procedures and confer with an expert regarding my experience. I conferred with 3 dentists (my brother, and 2 other random dentists). All said the same thing - DO NOT go back to that office They are scamming their patients out of unnecessary procedures and ripping off insurance companies. They were all appalled when I told them about the tele doc exam…. they said I don’t even think that can be billed as a legal exam. I was informed to report this office ASAP……. . In conclusion, I wish you all best and hope that this review will at least make you ask some questions and do some personal research before going to this dental office. God Bless and be well.

I had a terrible experience at this dentist office. I was switching offices due to an insurance change, the office that I had been going to no longer accepted my insurance so I decided to go With Coastal Dental since it was close to my house. On my very first appointment I did all the x-rays that is recommended on first appointment and a very similar story such as the one that I just read here on Reviews Happened.

They told me that I would need a panoramic x-ray and they told me to move to another room to see the dentist which was in a virtual call and I was told that I need a deep cleaning which I had already done about six months prior to that with my other dentist I told them that I would not have another deep cleaning because it would cost me over $400 so I decided not to follow through their plan of care and I walked out of the office. that happened back In January 2024, Now almost 2 years later, I’m receiving a bill from this office saying that They are out of network with my insurance and I’m responsible for the payments for that visit. When I walked in, I gave them my insurance card and I was told they were in network now they want to bill me for x-rays, which is 100% covered by my insurance.

In summary, this office is scamming people into services that are not necessary. Stay away From this office!!!
