I scheduled an appointment two weeks ago for today, i confirmed my appointment online and also received another email asking to provide additional information along with my insurance. I arrived to my appointment at the scheduled time 9:30am, after signing in and sitting for 20 minutes i hear the receptionist tell another person “she says she has an appointment today but i don’t see it” another person then says “oh i just canceled that appointment”, she calls me up to the desk and says that because they did not receive a verbal response from me they canceled the appointment. I asked what is the point of confirming and providing my insurance online if it doesn’t actually confirm my appointment.

She said well we take walk ins and that’s just our procedure that space can be used for someone else. I am in school and i work full time, i am very disappointed at the outcome of this visit.

I went to Aspen as one of the only oral surgeons that take my dental insurance. Making the appointment was fine. However, the problems started when I arrived at the office. Three women were in the front area, and there was a paper clipboard on the desk. I followed the man in front of me and signed in. No one greeted either of us. I got someone's attention to give them the referral from my primary Dentist. Then, I waited.

And waited. As I watched, one patient was called but was a little slow getting to the door, and it shut. It took almost 2 minutes for the front desk woman to let her in as she stood there waiting. Finally, I stood up to ask what was going on, and I was told they were verifying my insurance. One woman said that I wouldn't have had to wait so long if I had answered them when they called the past week. No Ma'am you did not call me. Another said I had to change my primary dentist to their office. Again, no ma'am.

I was there for a specialist appointment, not a dental appointment. After arguing back and forth for a few minutes, I had had enough. I said I didn't want to deal with this office and the rude front desk. I walked out. I never saw the dentist, and I never will. I have chosen another surgeon and have not had any of these issues.

I was greeted and received so professionally and was made to feel very comfortable. Every step was explained to me ahead of procedures. They even managed to ease my mind after being informed of unwanted news. I even had a good laugh. They are working hard so that I can afford all my procedures.
