So I’m not really old and I’m a young child telling what has happened. The first time I had went to this dentist they filled in about 7-8 “cavities” and a root canal that I had. Dr Patel was my dentist and the first time I saw him he came in and got straight to work with the numbing cream and shot. He made weird comments on my lips calling them “fat and juicy” while having other side conversations with his assistant in the room. It didn’t really take him long when he finish all the cavities or the root canal. The fillings and root canal felt very unsturdy and 3 weeks later on one of my filling had cracked from eating food. I asked for an appointment to be scheduled because there was food getting all in the hole and I’m scared of infections.. about 2 weeks later I get a call to come in for the filling to be “fixed”. As he about to drill my tooth he did not apply enough numbing cream nor made sure my mouth was numb and started drilling. I tried to jump out the chair in terror from the pain. He then filled my mouth with my numbing shots and waiting less than 6 minutes to start again. Also when I had my root canal done a small piece of my gum was tore off due to the incorrect use of the drill. After my appointment later on in the next 5-6 weeks my root canal located on my wisdom tooth starts cracking so I had an appointment scheduled for that and it took atleast another 2 weeks. During this time my tooth had become more sensitive and loose. And when I got to the dentist after all that time, they took an x-ray scan on my tooth, saw the crack, and told me they could get it fixed right away. They also told me a small infection was starting to brew under the cracked part of the tooth and wanted to just fill my whole back tooth with a “cap”. They asked my insurance and told me I was later denied and would have to pay a $900 fee since I had already had previous dental work on my previous fillings and root canal. Their insurance team sucks and I really wouldn’t recommend them for any dental work that has to do with fillings or root canals

We love Dr. Andrew! He is so great with kids. Nobody loves going to the dentist, but it helps tremendously when you have a kind, compassionate doctor who does excellent work and puts even his youngest patients at ease. Their hygienists are really great too! We definitely recommend Family & Cosmetic Dentistry of Jackson.
