This place is a complete scam. They push unnecessary treatments on you and falsely claim that your insurance will cover them. I went there for two years, and every visit, they tried to upsell me on treatments I didn’t need. Last time, they did the same—assuring me my insurance would cover it—only for me to find out later that it wasn’t covered, leaving me to pay out of pocket. I called multiple times, but no one cared that their staff is misleading and scamming patients. I have decided to file a misconduct complaint to NY department of health.

I have noticed upselling was mentioned in other reviews. I encourage everyone else who has similar experience to file a complaint against them. In addition to upselling, the whole place feels impersonal and inauthentic. On top of that, their teeth cleaning is among the worst I’ve experienced. Avoid this place at all costs.

Went in for my first visit thinking it would be as seamless as the ads claim- it was the opposite. They moved me to three separate rooms because the xray machines were broken. Ultimately did not end up receiving X-rays because of this and have to come back next week. To be clear, I don’t blame the team for this.

Everyone was really nice and apologetic and I understand that tech issues happen, but it was quite frustrating after the 3rd room relocate. If equipment isn’t working I’d rather be rescheduled than wasting over an hour of my life and having to return again.

I appreciate the staff such as the dentist and the hygienist for always accommodating every request and assuring I’m aware of every step of the procedure. But this will be the last time I will be coming here I did not like how the staff at the desk decided to handle my situation where there was a price discrepancy for a filling I did. I had already paid my deductible earlier in the year with this office and I had to tell them to remove it. I was able to rectify the situation in the office with the gentleman but I called again to make sure everything was correct.

I was put on the phone with the other receptionist when I called. She tried to tell me that my insurance “actually” doesn’t cover the dental code for this specific filling so I would in fact have to pay more than what I did at the office. I don’t know what is happening with Tend system but I’m being relayed misinformed information. My insurance in fact covers that specific dental code.

I have a hard time trusting establishments when it comes to billing my insurance and I don’t see how a simple inquiry had to be met with such a bad attitude.

I visited the Tend Dental Park Slope location, where the receptionist kindly escorted me to the exam room because I was interested in their teeth whitening process. A dental hygienist named Franz demonstrated the procedure and scheduled my appointment for the following day. I am very pleased with the results.

Franz was extremely professional and skilled. Overall, this is undoubtedly one of the best dental practices in the field.
