Dr. Tilman is the best dentist I've had in my 70+years of life. His office is modern, super clean, and equipped with the latest equipment. His dental assistants and front office staff are extremely professional and pleasant. I highly recommend him!

Being someone with anxiety and can’t have something holding there mouth opened…Dr. Tilman and his assistant didn’t use that large black mold to hold my mouth opend…which relived some of my anxiety. What really relived all of my anxiety was Dr. Tilman who was gentle and considerate. Literally no pain!!! His assistant was wonderful also…made me relax and even laugh. I cannot thank you enough.
If anyone is Nervous to go to a dentist …let me recommend DR. TILMAN!!! The office needs some work…called to confirm my appointment said I wasn’t on there books…however had a card with me that they gave me for my next appointment. Let it go wasn’t in a hurry to get a filling and a crown. Also during my cleaning they said I needed a piece to put in my mouth at night because I was grinding my teeth. I agreed to that because I was aware of that issue. They took X-rays and fitted my mouth for a mold.
When I left I gave them 250. 00 half of what it would cost for my mouth guard. Called 3 moths latter…know one knew anything about it. My last visit…I asked about my 250. 00 and my mouth guard. KNOW ON HAD A GLUE!!!

;was a long term patient of Dr Tillmans until his chief financial officer discussed my personal health and bill in the lobby in front of patients and the staff. Then decided to tell me that I won’t be treated anymore at this practice. What’s very sad is now I hear from other patients at the office that are having serious problems with her and the front desk. It’s really sad that patients can be treated this poorly. Some people need to be fired and let go.
Start with the chief financial officer. She is awful how she treated me I was so tempted to call my lawyer but let it go and went to another practice. It’s sad because Dr Tillman is great but who represents his office is Just awful and I am not the only one who feels that way. Does anyone there care. Fire your chief financial officer would be a good start

Year-round residents of Newport, RI always have to beware of shady business owners in town that want to sell substandard goods and services at a premium price; if this is what you enjoy, then patronize this business. Lazy service, poor dentistry work, ethical standards of care, questionable billing, and more are at Tillman’s office. True story.
Another local dentist was honorable to suggest to a patient that they have Dr. Tillman’s office fix their workmanship on a dental matter, and Tillman’s office rudely wasted the patient’s time with bad customer service and simultaneously tried to extract more money from the patient for their bad dentistry and fine print on their warranty work. It’s time that year-round residents and second home owners decide to reject bad business practices instead of driving off island.
To maximize tourism and destination experiences these businesses need to be asked to be ethical or go to another town. Newport is worthy of goods and services that elevate this community and value locals.
