I had a very disappointing experience at this dental office. I came in for a cleaning and to ask about Invisalign. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward appointment became uncomfortable due to the unprofessional behavior from the staff. During my cleaning, two staff members laughed and made comments in front of me about my dental x-rays, which felt incredibly disrespectful.

As a patient, I expect to be treated with dignity—not mocked or spoken about as if I’m not present. In addition, one of the hygienists made a condescending remark while flossing my teeth, implying that I “clearly” didn’t know how to floss. Comments like this are not only unhelpful, but they come across as judgmental and discouraging—especially when many people struggle with oral care due to valid mental health or personal challenges. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected when receiving healthcare.

This experience made me feel embarrassed and disrespected. I hope the staff can reflect on their professionalism and how they interact with patients, because small actions can have a big impact.

Today was an important day for me seeing a new dentist which I had a great deal of fear just going. Well fear no more! I was treated with kindness and compassion something I haven’t experienced in a very long time. I’m 71 and still trying not to get stressed out when I have to go see a dentist but I had some broken teeth and needed to get some care immediately. I loved the hygienist she explained everything to me and the Doctor was a female which i prefer.

The doctor was very nice and very clear about what was going on with my broken teeth and information about replacing them was very knowledgeable. Gone are the days of not knowing what it was going to cost the office will give me a call in a couple of weeks to let me know what my insurance will cover and what they won’t. All and all I was taken back to finally find a dentist that cared about taking care of me and not trying to sell me root canals galore and putting me first. I have been through a lot trying to find a good dentist and a dentist that will take new patients so I recommend THE MIDDLETOWN FAMILY DENTAL especially for those with fears of dentist.

I am a new patient and was pleasantly surprised at how kind and caring the front desk and medical staff was. They took the time to explain the medical jargon to me even when I asked them what the chart on their screen meant as they were looking at my teeth.

Or when I asked them to re-explain something to me instead of getting frustrated that I didn’t get it the first time, like what has occurred at other medical offices I have gone to, they appeared more happy that I was eager to understand what was going on.

. . . this was my first visit and I was impressed with not only the professional nature of the services provided, but with the time the staff spent with me discussing details of the services.

Very impressed with how the staff discussed my insurance coverages and the option avaible to maximize my dental coverage. To someone who grew up with 'you show your Blue cross Card to the doctor snd everything is covered', understanding the current 'system' can be daunting. They went the extra mile to address my concerns.
