My phone hit me at just the right angle to break my two front teeth in half. . . I looked like one of those people from the hills have eyes!! Having just moved to Sacramento I had no idea where to go. So I spent hours calling different places and Land Park modern dentistry said they'd be able to squeeze me in and get everything done the same day, which was crucial to saving my teeth. When I arrived, Dr. Hernandez immediately took care of my pain. He was extremely patient for fitting me in between other appointments. He thoroughly explained that 1 of the teeth would need a root canal and the other we'd have to wait and see. They would both need crowns and there was different materials to choose from.

A clerk came in to go over the billing options, explaining how much my insurance would cover and the different payment plans. I went with the most expensive crown material for the most natural smile, which would need to be sized and made in a lab. Dr. Hernandez did my root canal and I've had no issues. The assistants were left to do the temp crown and shading/sizing of the permanent ones. I didn't feel too confident in their work and after a couple visits was even questioning if I had made the right choice coming here. I got Stephen on my 3rd appointment and he was an artist, finding the perfect shade and size to match my teeth. He didn't take long to recognize that my teeth were a little translucent and different shades at the top and bottom. He paid attention to my concern that the previously ordered crowns were no where close to looking natural and protruded out. He used different lighting, took pictures and a recording to send to the lab so we'd get better results.

And we did!! The crowns Stephen ordered were perfect and Dr. Hernandez made sure they fit comfortably. It's been 3 months since I broke my teeth and I can confidently say I chose the right dentist. The only downside is the office/scheduling can be a bit chaotic. I took time off work for my appointments and they consistently run behind and take a lot longer than expected. One time I waited 40 minutes to be called in and another 20-30 in the back and another time they just totally forgot to put my appointment in the system. But overall I'm so very very thankful to Stephen and Dr. Hernandez for restoring my smile and I'll be continuing to go here as long as they're around!

Thank you Dr Ryan for always taking care of my teeth, I've had my crowning done by Dr Ryan his reassurance to any concern I have and well as constantly checking up on me during the procedure is astonishing. I did not feel any pain at all and everything looks and feels good! And the reassurance definitely helped ease my nerve. Thanks Dr Ryan and Landpark modern dentistry.

I came here for a full-mouth deep cleaning, but the experience left me deeply disappointed. The actual cleaning began around 12:55 PM and ended by 1:09 PM — the procedure itself lasted less than 15 minutes. I don’t think 15 minutes is enough for a full-mouth deep cleaning. Only a topical anesthetic was used—no proper injections, and no thorough scaling below the gum line on every tooth. It did not resemble a professional deep cleaning at all. My check-in time was 12:30 PM, and I checked out around 1:15 PM — so the total visit was about 45 minutes, not hours. That includes time waiting in the room and a short polish by another staff member before the hygienist even began. The actual deep cleaning portion was extremely short.

I’ve had deep cleanings before at other dental offices, which took two sessions and about three hours total. This time felt superficial—more like a regular cleaning at best. When I mentioned that certain areas didn’t feel properly scaled, the dental hygienist simply told me he had done everything. I later brought up my concern to the hygienist in person. He responded that even his most severe gum disease patients never needed three hours, and insisted that he did a complete job. However, that contradicts both my personal experience and the general expectations for SRP procedures. Afterward, I did some research online and confirmed that a proper full-mouth deep cleaning usually takes at least 1–2 hours, and is often split into two separate visits (each taking about 45–60 minutes). There’s just no way it can be done thoroughly in under 15 minutes, especially without injected anesthesia.

The place is clean and the staff are friendly, but this was my first service here, and unfortunately it was unsatisfactory. Fifteen minutes for a full-mouth deep cleaning is unimaginable — I really feel like I was taken advantage of. I do not recommend coming here for deep cleaning. At least for this service, it felt completely unprofessional — just like some other reviewers have said, the procedure was more like a basic cleaning. Perhaps they only perform true deep cleanings when lasers are involved. But for a standard SRP, this experience was disappointing and not what I expected from a licensed dental provider.
