About
Stephen M. Parker DDS received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, from Louisiana State University, in 1985. I was commissioned in May 1985 and commenced active duty immediately. He received a Master's in Business Administration, from Webster University, in March 2004. After completion of an Officer Indoctrination Program in San Diego, CA, He was assigned as Assistant Dental Officer, 1st Dental Company, 1st Dental Battalion from 1985 to 1988. Captain Parker subsequently served as Dental Officer for the USS NEW ORLEANS LPH 11 from 1988 to 1990. He was augmented to the regular Navy in 1989. He served as Division Officer for Anti-Submarine Warfare Branch Dental Clinic from 1990 to 1992. Captain Parker was the Director of the Fleet Industrial Supply Center Branch Clinic serving COMNAVBASE San Diego from 1993 to 1994. He then served as Director of MCAS Futenma Branch Dental Clinic for 11th Dental Company, 3rd Dental Battalion/Naval Dental Center, Okinawa Japan from 1994 to 1995. Completing Advanced Clinical Program in General Dentistry at Naval Dental Center San Diego, CA., He was assigned as the Operative Department Head at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in 29 Palms, CA. from 1995 to 1996. He was reassigned as the Detachment Commander, Branch Dental Clinic, MCAS Yuma from 1996 to 1997. From 1997 to 1998, Captain Parker was the Director of the Branch Dental Clinic for the School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton. He was the Director of Clinical Services, 1st Dental Battalion/Naval Dental Center, Camp Pendleton from 1998 to 1999. He was Director for Camp Courtney Branch Dental Clinic for 3rd Dental Company 3rd Dental Battalion/ Naval Dental Center Okinawa, Japan from June 1999 to December 2000. He was Clinic Director for the U. S. Naval Dental Center, Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan from December 2000 to June 2002. Captain Parker was assigned as the Junior Detailer for the Dental Corps Assignments at the Bureau of Naval Personnel, Millington, TN., from June 2002 to April 2004. He was assigned as the Executive Officer for Naval Dental Center Great Lakes, Illinois from April 2004 to February 2005. He was assigned as an Executive Officer and then Commanding Officer for the Navy Hospital Corps School, Great Lakes. His last assignment was the Assistant Director for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. His decoration's include: Meritorious Service Medal (three Gold Stars), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three Gold Stars), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two Gold Stars). Dr. Parker and his wife Carolyn reside in Libertyville and have been happily married for 27 years. He has three wonderful children: Michael, Bryce and Lauren.
