About
Dr. Battaglia is a dentist in private practice in Wayne, N.J. He continues to hold an Associate Clinical Professor faculty appointment in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine lasting for over 30 years where he is responsible for didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction to sophomore, junior and senior dental students. He currently serves as Chair, Academy of General Dentistry's Legislative and Government Affairs Council, Chair, American Association of Dental Boards' East Caucus, and as the NJ State Board of Dentistry representative to Commission on Dental Competency Assessment's House of Delegates. He is currently a consultant to the NJ State Board of Dentistry, a Commissioner to the American Dental Association's National Commission on Specialty Recognition and Certifying Boards, an examiner for the Commission on Dental Competency Assessment and the Academy of General Dentistry Professional Relations Committee. He previously served as Chair, AGD Dental Practice Council, a member of the NJ State Board of Dentistry and President, NJ AGD. He holds a MS in Biochemistry from FDU School of Dentistry and a DMD from UMDNJ inducted as an alumni member in OKU, the national dental honor society. He completed a General Practice Residency at Hackensack University Medical Center and has received fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Dentistry International, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists. He has completed over 1100 hours of continuing dental education and has served as the Dental Director at the University of Medicine and Dentistry Department of Continuing Dental Education. He is a member of the Passaic County Dental Association, NJ Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and numerous other professional associations.
