About
Dr. Mark D. Sheklian loves the opportunity to provide dental services for his patients and finds it personally rewarding to help individuals achieve optimal dental health as well as their best looking smile. He has lived at the Jersey Shore for most of his life. He attended Manasquan High School in 1972, followed by Purdue University in West LaFayette, Indiana, earning his Bachelor's Degree in biology in 1980. He then earned his Doctorate from Temple University, Philadelphia in 1984. Dr. Sheklian has had extensive continuing education since graduating dental school and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry as well as a graduateof the prestigious Dawson Academy for the Advancement of Dentistry. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and participating in a variety of sporting activities, running being his true passion. You may see him participating in local races and volunteering with the Jersey Shore Runners Club. Dr. Sheklian has never considered any other profession than dentistry and cannot imagine doing anything else. He enjoys speaking with his patients and getting to know them; learning about their personal and professional lives as well as their dental needs. Dr. Sheklian is a good listener and knows that the patient's confidence and trust is only gained through complete honesty. He carefully communicates each diagnosis and any information patients will need so they can choose how they want to proceed with their treatment.
