Dr. Andrew Sami received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude from St. John’s University. While at St. John’s he was on the Dean’s List, was nominated for the Silver Key Award for excellence in Biology, and became a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and Watson pre-Professional Honor Society. He earned his D.D.S. with honors from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Sami then went on to Nassau University Medical Center where he completed a program in advanced training in General Dentistry, serving as Chief Resident during his tenure there. Upon completion of that program, he joined the Attending Staff, teaching and supervising residents. In the quest to remain current in dental techniques, he participated in an Implant Dentistry Fellowship Program at New York University, receiving training in the surgical placement of implants, bone grafting, and the diagnosis, treatment planning, and restoration of implant prosthetics. This led to his membership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He frequently attends continuing education sessions to stay informed of best practices and research to allow him to provide the most current treatment modalities to his patients. His other professional memberships include: the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Nassau County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Glen Cove Dental Study Club. Dr. Sami shows the same excitement and enthusiasm that he has for his work in his personal life. He is an avid photographer and he and his wife Liz enjoy traveling the world to capture the perfect photo. He has visited Alaska, South Africa, Australia, Egypt, and parts of Europe. Their son Noah will have adventures to tell by the time he gets to preschool!

Dr. Eric B. Fisher, D.D.S., P.C. began practicing Dentistry in 1984 after receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Fisher graduated with honors, interned at St. Lukes Hospital in the Oral Surgery Department, and went on to train for two years in practices devoted to fixed prosthodontics. In 1986 Dr. Fisher opened his own private practice located at 315 West 57th Street in Manhattan. It was here that Dr. Fisher began his solo career which has grown through loyalty and confidence until the present. In 1988 Dr. Fisher opened another location at 998 Old Country Road, Plainview , New York. In 1989 he finally settled there devoted to his full time practice in Plainview. This leads us to Dr. Fisher's present location. He has moved to 545 Old Country Road in Plainview were Dr. Fisher has built a state of the art, exemplary office. With all new equipment and more operatory's Dr. Fisher 's practice has grown to accommodate the great demand for his services as well as the friendly service his staff provides each patient. Dr. Fisher has kept abreast of the latest innovations in Dentistry. Beggining in 1991 he received clinical certification at the Dr. Robert Mathys Foundation for Osseo- Integrated Implants and at the ITI Strauman Institute for Dental Osseo- Integrated Implants. He has taught several seminars on implant Dentistry at the Glen Cove study Club and at The Greater Long Island Dental Meetings. Dr. Fisher has served as a consultant to the ITI/Strauman Institute, an internationally reknown implant company and research institute. Additionally, in maintaining a state of the art facility Dr. Fisher has introduced all of the latest technology into his practice of dentistry. These include a Master's in Laser Dentistry. He is a participating member in the Long Island Team Implantology Society. He is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and certified in the state mandated license course. Dr. Fisher has also certified and passed the standard proficiency program sponsored by the American Academy of Laser Dentistry and is a member of the World Clinical Laser Institute. Dr. Fisher is also a life member of the Institute Strauman, an international group of researchers devoted to enhancing the success of implant dentistry and a leader in dental implant research. Although there are many accomplishments that Dr. Fisher has had in his life he is most proud of the quality of Dentistry that he has brought to his patients and for the pleasant atmosphere he has created in his office. Recently Dr. Fisher has added the most current and accurate imaging systems available. The Planmeca 2D/3D panoramic xray and cat scan allow our practice to more accurately diagnose our patients with signifacantly less radiation. This unit is the only one on the market allowing segmental, sectional cat scans of specific areas that may be appropriate sites for implant sites without having to expose patients to full face full doses of radiation.
