Dr. Proto graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1981, and was elected into the honorary dental fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Proto completed the prestigious two year continuing education implant curriculum at New York University in June of 2011 where he now serves as a Clinical Instructor. He brings over forty years of restorative experience to the field of implantology. He has been restoring implants since 1994, and placing them since 2007. His restoratively-driven implant practice reflects his skill in taking treatment from the diagnostic waxup through the surgical phase and ultimately to the completed restoration. ProtoDental is proud to provide digital workflow protocols that ensure the utmost accuracy using the latest digital technology. He has had restorative techniques published in JADA, was featured twice in Dental Economics, and published an article on Socket Grafting with Calcium Sulfate Hemihydrate in Dental Products Report. Dr. Proto maintains his private practice in Babylon, NY with emphasis on comprehensive restorative and surgical treatment and esthetics. Dr. Proto is a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a member of the ADA, the New York State Dental Association and the Suffolk County Dental Society.
