About
Dr. Bram Alster received his BS in biology at Rutgers University before heading to Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry for his DMD, graduating in 1984. Upon graduation, he was associated with a well-known prosthodontist in Manhattan and soon after began his own practice in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. He went on to a mini-residency in cosmetic dentistry in 1992 and a one-year part time prosthetic program for full mouth rehabilitation in 1994, both at New York University. In 2009 Dr. Alster traveled to Lisbon, Portugal as he was sponsored to attend a seminar on ‘All on 4 Implants.’ In 2010 he accepted a position as an attending instructor at St Joseph’s Hospital in Patterson, New Jersey and is currently participating in a comprehensive 2-year implant program at NYU, studying both the cosmetic and surgical treatment of implants. Dr. Alster is also accredited for Invisalign. Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Alster has logged over 500 hours of continuing education and has earned enough credits to be eligible for his Fellowship at the Academy of General Dentistry. He maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Academy of Implant Dentistry and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Besides continuing his education and maintaining a thriving practice, Dr Alster is actively involved in his community. He is the past president of the men’s club at Temple Emanuel in Closter, NJ, the past co-chair of the UJA physician/dentist annual dinner, and won the Coaches Award for 15 years of coaching in Closter. Dr. Alster and his wife Shari, a home care physical therapist and the practice bookkeeper, have three kids, one of whom is currently following in Dad’s shoes by studying dentistry at NYU. When he has the time, Dr. Alster enjoys playing golf and going on family vacations, including skiing, trips to the beach, Israel and Europe.
