We are greatly appreciative for the professional treatment provided by Dr. Woods and his staff. After bad experiences at previous orthodontist offices he clearly explained the issues and fixed them with a fair price. The assistants are very responsive with any issues and call back quickly on weekends and holidays to help with any concerns. It's a shame that the reviews on here don't reflect the actual experience, clearly other orthodontist offices who come from off Cape are playing the game of online reviews and prompting those that are happy with their care to post only.
Everyone I have encountered at their offices are happy with their treatment and I checked with other parents as well who had completed treatment for their kids. The only thing I heard is that Dr. Woods can be a perfectionist.

Worst treatment I have ever received by a physician and their staff. They should not be allowed to work on children. When my daughter complained that she was feeling pain and that they were being rough she was met with a horrible attitude and intimidation. They hold grudges if you speak up and complain and Dr. Woods does not hold any of his staff accountable.
I do not know who is worse, the staff or Dr. woods. We are disgusted by the treatment we have received and we were forced to make a move to another orthodontist office were our daughter and we will be treated with respect and compassion. At Woods Orthodontics you will be treated as just another number not a patient, they do not care about establishing a relationship with the patient. Not only did Dr.
Woods not apologize or even try to make things right but they kept all of the money we had paid in advance. By far the worst from the staff at the front office , who are miserable, to the doctor himself. I hope my experience can save someone else, specially with children who have invested all the time and money that orthodontic treatment requires from having to experience what we have experienced at the hands of Dr. Woods and his staff.

There are already enough poor reviews of Dr. Woods yet here I am adding one more. I have never written a public review, never mind one about a service I received over two decades ago. That is how strongly I feel about writing this review to keep others, especially children, away from Dr. Woods.
Dr. Woods practices retractive orthodontics, which is outdated and widely understood to cause long-term damage to the teeth, jaws, and airway. For over 20 years, I could not breathe normally because my airway was severely constricted and my joints were unstable due to Dr. Woods's lack of understanding about (or attention to) anatomy and modern techniques in orthodonture. Retractive orthodontics (headgear, forcefully moving teeth without considering muscles and joints) is now widely discredited as it leads to disordered breathing, sleep apnea, cavities, joint issues, and a host of other problems.
Because of Dr. Woods, I had to spend tens of thousands on corrective orthodonture as an adult to fix the issues caused by his "treatment," including a very serious double jaw surgery. Please do not take your child here. Please find a modern provider who understands that the teeth and bite are functional parts of our bodies that affect our sleep, airway, joints, and overall health.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Woods Orthodontics. Both my children are patients there and we have been going for many years now. The staff is always so friendly, helpful and patient. They do their best to work around my children’s school, activities/sports when possible when booking appointments. They take the time to answer my questions and don’t rush me through these important conversations regarding next steps.
I have found Dr. Woods both Senior and Junior to be extremely knowledgeable and they both have wonderful “bedside manner” if you will. The front office ladies always greet me and my children with a smile and are just awesome. We typically use the Yarmouth office but have been to the Sandwich office a few times as well.
