I would give 10 stars, they were incredible. Got there early,8:30 at the emergency clinic. Signed in and was taken in about 9:15. I had a broken tooth with almost nothing left of the tooth number 28. Didn't really expect them to pull it today but James The student and Dr. Rueben removed the tooth and was out of there by 11.

If you are uninsured, or need procedures that are not well covered by your insurance, go to Tufts and enroll as a patient for their students. You will often get more than 50% off a regular dentist's bill. This is lifesaving for some who need urgent care and can't afford it. The twist is, the enrollment system is slow. You will likely need to undergo 5-6 visits before they begin working on the problem.

This is because the students need a supervising professor to mark off their every step. If it is urgent, they have an emergency department too. Be prepared for multiple long 1-2hr visits during work hours (or 4:30pm starts at the latest), with perhaps a week in between each visit. I'm happy to get an affordable crown done at Tufts, but I had to overcome the impatience of waiting 2 months to get it rolling. As for the students: they are students.

Be patient with them and let them learn. But make sure to speak up if you're not comfortable with something; they have professors and specialists on hand around them to help too.

Billing manager is not helpful, doesn’t care, and won’t follow simple instructions. Our insurance is ready and willing to pay but has been given the runaround by the billing manager. Meanwhile I’m stuck in the middle and now my daughter is being denied care because the billing department is refusing to do their job. I would never recommend anyone to go here and I will never seek care here again.

Absolutely horrible customer care from the billing manager. I’m ready to take it to solve it 7 as it’s been over a year and hours on the phone and still they can’t get it resolved. I bet with a lawyer and news camera the billing manager would make an effort to resolve this issue.

I have gone to Tufts for 20 years. The positive comments you read were my opinions until the last 5-6 years. I don't know why, but the last 2 dentists I had were horrible. One guy took on so many patients that I paid for work that never got done.

The next guy had a habit of answering my calls for appointments, but when I showed up, he didn't have me in his schedule. That wasn't the worse -- his work was so below par it was unbelievable. He took so long to put in the crowns the gums shrank!! Two crowns don't meet the gums.
