Dr. Toni is the kindest and most thorough dentist I’ve ever had. I have a rare tooth condition that I’ve seen many doctors for and Dr. Toni is the only one that has gone the extra mile to research many options. Consulting with experts in her field to give me the best care.

She has also made my young children feel safe and excited about their teeth cleanings, so much so that one of them has consistently said he wants to grow up to be a dentist. It’s always a pleasure to see a female in the dental field running the show, her calm and empathetic demeanor are her strengths. All of the hygienists and scheduling staff have been warm and are willing to entertain my kids, win! The fact that we drive from the Eastside to Burien speaks for itself, Dr. Toni is simply the best.

I chose Dr. Waldbaum at the beginning of 2024 because I was due for a semi-annual exam and cleaning, and my dentist had gone out of network for my insurance. The cleaning was well done, but she said I needed several fillings, which cost me over $700 after insurance. Weeks afterward, one of the fillings was aching. I returned and she did a couple things, then sent me away telling me only to call if it got worse. The pain continued, and I ended up having to get a root canal from an endodontist because the filling got too close to the nerve and traumatized the tooth.

That was another $500+ out of my pocket. Not only that, but Dr. Waldbaum’s office double-charged me for part of what I paid. When I called to inquire, her billing person would not even let me talk because she didn’t have the paperwork from insurance. She said she would call me back when she had it and rudely rushed me off the phone. She did call me back to admit I was correct but did not apologize at all.

I had another dentist put a crown on the tooth, costing me yet another $700+. So choosing Dr. Waldbaum’s office in all cost me almost $2,000, four months of appointments, and a great deal of anger and frustration. 6/17/24 Edited to add: The endodontist charged me another $775 after insurance finally processed the claim, and I went over their annual maximum. This has been a complete disaster.

Dr. Toni was my dentist for more than a decade. I love the office and the care I received. The hygienists were talented and careful. They were always conscious of cost and most importantly, put the preservation of my natural teeth first! This is not an office that will offer unnecessary, invasive dental work. I trust them implicitly and I miss them.
