Germantown location - hit or miss with service and bedside manner. It is very dependent on the person you receive. I recommend you advocate for what you believe your child needs. I had an issue with one doctor who cared less about my opinions until I stated my background.

I been taking my kid here for dental appointments for years, was happy until the last couple of visits. The dentist was not friendly and very pushy about having my kid get the braces with them even I told them I got consultations with other places already. They kept insisting of having it done with them.

I feel they are more into making $$ now, not professional at all. Likely will be switching elsewhere for future visits.

While I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, in this particular circumstance, I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Dr. Fariba's office. Upon arriving with my two boys a few weeks ago, I immediately sensed an unsettling atmosphere. The initial interaction with the staff was indifferent and unwelcoming, setting the tone for what was to come. As we waited, I was handed additional paperwork to fill out while encountering a mix of staff attitudes - from a friendly African-American girl to a particularly stand-offish and rude individual. The lack of organization became evident as they struggled to locate our medical records previously sent from our former dentist. The chaotic nature of the appointment reached its peak when both of my kids were attended to simultaneously, making it challenging for me to adequately focus on each of their needs.

Dr. Fariba's handling of the situation, including diagnosing cavities in my oldest son and pressuring me to schedule immediate treatments, added to the confusion and rush of the visit. Feeling overwhelmed and unsure of the accuracy of the assessments, I sought a second opinion at MVP Smiles a few weeks later. The contrasting experience at MVP Smiles was nothing short of exceptional. Their thoroughness, transparency, and commitment to patient care stood in stark contrast to my prior encounter. The discovery that my oldest son did not have cavities, contrary to Dr. Fariba's diagnosis, further solidified my decision to seek dental care elsewhere.

The realization that my youngest had unaddressed issues only reinforced my disappointment with Dr. Fariba's office. For those considering Pediatric Dental Care at Dr. Fariba's office, I cannot in good conscience recommend it. The prioritization of profit over patient well-being and the disregard for a professional and caring atmosphere were major red flags. Instead, I wholeheartedly recommend MVP Smiles in Gaithersburg, MD, for an exceptional and trustworthy dental experience.

I wish I could give no stars. My 5-year-old son needed several cavities filled, and when we arrived, they told me I had to pay $600 to put him to sleep—something I was never told in advance, even though they claimed they did. Then, they told me they couldn’t do all the fillings on one side because he was too little and they didn’t want him biting his cheek. On top of that, I had to bring him back twice more, paying $600 each time. I didn’t want to pay this much, and putting my son under three times in a month was just too much. They scared me into thinking that if we didn’t do it their way, with sedation, it would be worse and cost more.

I kept asking if there was another option, and they said no. I called my mom, who works in insurance, in tears. After some research, I found another pediatric dental practice and shared my concerns. The new doctor looked at the x-rays and said, “I can fill two on this side now with just laughing gas and anesthesia. ” I was nervous but agreed. In less than 30 minutes, my son asked, “Did they even give me a shot?” I’m so glad I fought back.

I will never bring my kids back to this practice—they even called me to set up a cleaning, and I had them remove us from their system. There are much better pediatric dental practices in the DMV. Don’t settle.
