My dental doctor was very thorough and professional. I did not feel any pain having my tooth pulled (except the numbing needle). His assistant was very observant to the Dr and my needs.

Let me start off by expressing I understand that’s a SCHOOL. I’m completely aware that none of the students are supposed to advice, recommend, or “Get the ball rolling” on any procedures before speaking to an instructor. That’s didn’t happen with me. By the time the instructor finally showed up in the room the student had me scheduled for emergency surgery. According to him I had to have half of my jaw removed from the left side because of a mass that looked cancerous. I’m not kidding.
It needed to be done immediately that it looked really really bad according to the STUDENT. The instructor came in, requested a new set of pics be taken. He asked me to remove my earrings. The photo came back clean. The dangerous cancerous mass was my earring. WOW

Be carful at the present time [2019] if two departments or two doctors have to coordinate your treatment. My wife has had a terrible time due to the fact they don't communicate with one another or with the patient. Thank goodness for the wonderful Staff which tries to chase the doctors. What was it? 1] Failure to follow up when one group was to get the other to call for an appointment. Finally, after several weeks of no word, my wife had to go in and demand an appointment. Various excuses. 2] After this appointment, an operation was scheduled.
We showed up. No operation. Didn't you get our call? No one called. The second doctor had not done his work. 3] When will his work be done? Shrugs. Silence for days. Again, with the help of staff, the operating doctor said come for an exam.
What? Thousands have already been paid for tests, x-rays. When will the second doctor be ready? Silence. We have been advised that a private group never has this sort of "administrative disability" nor fails to communicate with the patient in an open manner. Will the actual medical work be good? We assume so. If it ever happens.

I was referred to MUSC Dept of Oral surgery in January 2022. I received a call in February requesting x-rays taken of the area I'm suppose to be evaluated on. They were sent that day by my dentist. I have not received one phone call, letter, text or anything since, despite multiple phone calls from my self, my wife and Tricare my insurance company.
Currently trying to get a nurse to answer the phone has been ringing 15 minutes now. I pray the ancillary staff is not an indication of the quality of the surgeons who work there if I ever get a response.
