Terrible office went for an extraction today didn't want a bone graft doctor refused to still do extraction because he wanted us to pay $1500 out of pocket for a bone graft. When I said we cannot afford that doctor got in my face saying I'm rude for asking to just do the extraction he came in for. Threatening to call police because I said I'm not paying for an unnecessary add on procedure.

The dentist just wanted to get that money because I had 2 extraction done here and never needed a bone graft. Doctor very rude and possibly racists. He judges you off your insurance

My brother recently went to Metropolitan Dental for a severe toothache — the kind of pain that signals a serious infection. Anyone who’s ever had dental issues knows that when a tooth hurts this bad, it’s usually due to infected gums and requires immediate care, including antibiotics and pain management. He has Health First insurance, but they claimed his insurance didn’t cover the extractions. Instead of offering real medical help, they immediately pushed him into signing up for a financing program totaling over $2,000. No antibiotics.

No pain medication. Nothing to actually treat the infection or relieve his pain. A whole week has gone by, and he’s still in pain. I had to call the office myself and complain because clearly, they had no intention of following up or helping him recover. The bottom line? Metropolitan Dental seems far more interested in your wallet than your well-being.

It’s unacceptable to leave a patient suffering, especially when it’s obvious they need medical attention. If you value your health, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

I’m deeply disappointed with the lack of transparency and professionalism displayed by this dental office. My wife underwent an extraction and implant procedure that was initially quoted at over $3,000, which we paid upfront, understanding it would cover the entire treatment + the tooth. However, when it was time to place the crown, we were shocked to discover an additional $2,500 charge—a significant cost that was never disclosed at the beginning. This pricing tactic feels deceptive and exploitative, especially when patients are trying to make informed medical and financial decisions.

It left us feeling blindsided, taken advantage of, and extremely frustrated. To make matters worse, when I sought clarification, I was met with a disrespectful and dismissive attitude from the receptionist, Anita. Her behavior was not only unprofessional towards me but also witnessed similar interactions with other patients in the waiting area during our several-month-long procedure. Such a tone has no place in a healthcare setting.

We genuinely wish we had been informed of all costs upfront. This experience has severely damaged our trust in the practice and made what was already a stressful process even more challenging.

Avoid this place at all costs! They completely disregard customer respect and professionalism. I scheduled a general checkup, but all they did was take X-rays and then told me to come back for cleaning. The worst part is they always run more than 3 hours behind schedule, wasting your precious time.

Don't throw away your time and money here. New York is full of options - keep looking for a better, more professional place to take care of your dental needs. Trust me, you won't regret it!
