First time at this office as I moved to Staten Island from Jersey and needed a new dentist so I went here, however I am NEVER coming back again. My visit was very unprofessional, unwelcoming, and unpleasant. Upon arrival for my 12pm appointment, the receptionist had spoken to me in a very rude tone saying that my appointment was supposed to be at 11:30pm. First of all, no one from the office had called me the day before to confirm my appointment time and I am always on top of my schedule. However, they said they were still able to accommodate me. Then she claimed that I had my wrong insurance card, however, that was the only card I received from my insurance and it had the ID number on it, so I’m not sure why she was so confused. I personally have worked as a receptionist for a medical office in the past, so I am fully aware of what insurance cards look like. The entire office speaks in a different language to each other and I was not introduced or greeted by any staff in the office! It was VERY uncomfortable. After signing papers, I was told to step into the room where I will be having my cleaning.

The chairs and all of the dental equipment was very old and dirty. They were literally stained! The woman who cleaned my teeth (who was literally wearing just jeans and a white tank top not any sort of scrubs so she did not look qualified to do her job) was EXTREMELY ROUGH with the tools as well. I started tearing up and flinching, and she told me it was because “my gums were inflamed”. I used to go to a dentist in Jersey and I go every 6 months. I am well aware of how to take care of my teeth. Also, while cleaning, the machine had broke! In the middle of my session! She had to get another coworker to help fix the parts while I was drowning in my saliva in my mouth. After that mess, she took in total LESS THAN 5 MINUTES to clean my entire mouth. It was NOT a thorough cleaning job, I could’ve brushed my teeth better! She took x-rays of my teeth after and kept moving my face without telling me and was very rough. When it was over, she said the doctor will take a look and give me a call about the imaging.

No one even examined my teeth to let me know if I had any cavities. I left there with an abrasion on the inside of my gums because of that dental assistant’s rough job in my mouth. The workers there only talked in their language to each other so I had no clue who I was speaking to or had any helpful information about my appointment. No one was welcoming especially the receptionist who spoke with a harsh tone. I will never come back here again. I am writing this so people know to never get their services done here unless you want your time wasted.

The dental hygienist was not only super nice, really gentle, and incredibly cool to talk to, but also professional and knowledgeable, ensuring a thorough cleaning and offering valuable advice on oral hygiene. The dentist was skilled, compassionate, quick with extreme detailed attention and attentive to my concerns, providing super top-notch care that left me feeling a long awaited confidence in my smile after.
