Dr. Charles E. Graper, MD, DDS, was a highly accomplished and compassionate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He held a dual degree, having graduated from Emory Dental School and Hahnemann (now Drexel) University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania and Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Graper was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, past president of the Florida Association of cosmetic surgery, and a member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons. He had multiple offices throughout his career, including locations in Albany, Douglas, and Waycross, Georgia, as well as Gainesville and Lake City, Florida. Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Graper was known for his charitable work. He conducted several mission trips to Guatemala and Haiti, where he performed pro bono cleft palate surgeries, earning him the Rotary's Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was also a private pilot and lectured extensively across the country, mentoring many students. He was remembered by his colleagues and patients for his earnest, caring demeanor and exceptional talent. Dr. Graper passed away in 2021, but his legacy as a skilled surgeon and humanitarian continues to be recognized.
