This is a review for dental clinics near W Oglethorpe Hwy, Hinesville, Liberty County, Georgia:
Initially, I was impressed with Aspen Dental. I had an emergency, and it was handled quickly and with great care. On a follow-up appointment, the doctor stated that I needed to be placed on a treatment plan. The plan included deep cleaning and being on Invisalign. I went back to the finance lady's office, where I stated that I only wanted the deep cleaning and not the aligners. I was told that I could not get the cleaning without doing the scan for he aligners. I paid the portion I was asked and left. I received a call about two weeks later to set up my appointment. This was set for the last week of October. I had another payment that I was told was past due, and I received my aligners. This is where the real trouble began. I was continually told via weekly updates that the aligners were not fitting right. I came in, and the issue was addressed, but I still received notices that there was a gap. I had an appointment for a cleaning on February 14th, and addressed the issue with the staff. A scan was performed, and I was told it would take two weeks and to keep wearing the tray until the new ones came in. I never received a new set of aligners from this scan, and I continued to do my weekly scans. Every week, I told Motto about the scan that Aspen had done. I never heard anything about the scans. Originally, I was supposed to be done with the aligners by the end of March/beginning of April. Finally, at the beginning of June, I completed the treatment. I made my appointment and was asked about the results. I stated that I was not satisfied as I still had crooked teeth. I was then asked if I wanted to continue to get the retainer or do another set. I let the tech know that I was frustrated with the whole process and wanted to be done. I had already waited about 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be pulled to the back and then waited for what I thought would be the removal of the "buttons." The doctor came in and told the tech to do the scan and order another set. She did not talk to me, she did not ask me my feelings on the treatment, or explain the next steps. Fast forward to July 1st. I received a call stating that my aligners were in and to set up a new aligner appointment. I stated that I did not need one as I already had aligners and the attachments. I came into the office to pick up the new set. I was told that I had to set up an appointment to get new attachments. I stated that if that was the case, I wanted everything removed. I was done. The doctor went to the front patient area and told me (in front of all the patients) that I had to make an appointment for my aligners. I stated that I came in two weeks ago to have them removed. I told the technician that I wanted them removed because this process had taken longer than I was told, and the last tray was cracked, hurting my mouth and causing me to bite my tongue. She made a statement about her incurring costs from the lab. I told her that I was done. I was then taken into the back, and the doctor proceeded to tell me that sometimes things don't go the way we want. I am a 41-year-old, and I did not need her condescending attitude, as if I haven't lived through any negative experiences. She removes most of the glue and attachments (my upper left tooth still has a good amount of glue on it), but did not put on a bib, so while she was removing the attachments, water was flowing down my neck to my back. I don't know if this type of behavior happens regularly, but if someone during this whole aligner process had just talked to me and asked how I felt, provided options, or just cared to follow up, I would have been okay with continuing the treatment. But to disregard me as a person and to treat me like I am not worth your time is unacceptable. I am heartbroken, as my initial encounters with Aspen Dental and the Orthosurgeon were so wonderful.
This was first time with Aspen Dental and the staff were very nice and welcoming. Mary is definitely customer friendly and Jessica as well. They both are very good at their jobs. 10/10 for those ladies. The other staff as well the hygienist very sweet and knowledgeable 🥰
