Fort Dental Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics is a lifesaver for parents of kids with dental anxiety. My 8-year-old used to cry at the mention of the dentist, but their fun, fortress-themed office (think castle murals and toy soldiers) turned that around. Dr. Martinez is a pro with kids—he uses “dental treasure hunts” to make cleanings exciting and even let my son “operate” a toy drill during his checkup.

When my daughter needed early orthodontics, they explained it with a colorful storybook, and she now calls her retainer her “princess accessory. ” The staff remembers each kid’s name and favorite stickers, and the waiting area has a play zone that keeps them occupied. Finally, a place where kids beg to go to the dentist—what more could a parent ask for?

I am a frustrated mother. It sad to watch your child go through discomfort. My daughter was referred Fort Dental and went through the whole process of having X rays ,had a tooth that could be saved filled and had a root canal ( they recommended all this) At the first appointment they confirmed they could the extraction after the other teeth had been taken of which I did. Called back for the tooth extraction and was given the date;on arrival was told the extraction will be done on a later date and the surgeon would call me on the next day ( Tuesday)with a day and time .

No calls were received on Tuesday and Today I call and whoever pick the calls just tells me they just decided not to do the extraction. I ask the reason and she is very vague about it as I am alarmed maybe the tooth had an infection or something related to the tooth. I try to understand the situation and finally am given a whimsical reason;age. When I first booked the first appointment with them they confirmed that they take 11 year olds.

I am totally confused 😕🤔I wish they communicated the same when I made the first appointment. I am just a mother venting

They put on Braces to just “put on braces. ” Hispanic doctor came in and barely greeted me, stated it was a good idea for my daughter to see an ENT specialist because of how her teeth were. Note, her pediatrician or dentist has NEVER brought this up to me I thought this was weird, anyways, he somewhat explained course of action and left!! The whole consult took less than 5 min. His words were “it’s doable” whole time I was wondering what is doable and what is your plan exactly? They supposedly took xrays, and didn’t even catch she had an extra tooth under her gums.

So were they just going to put braces on without ever mentioning the extra tooth? The doctor and the place seemed sketchy so I went to get a second opinion. Im so glad we didn’t end up going with this place!! They over charge and it doesn’t look like they know what they are doing. Please get another consult before proceeding with them.
