I usually never do reviews, actually have NEVER done one so it took me a minute to figure this out. I had severe pain this week that progressively got worse, to the back upper right of my mouth. I felt the pain almost radiate through my whole body it got so bad. I tried to ignore it and hope it would go away like it has in the past, but it continued to get worse. I went to my dentist in Vero Beach who told me I needed a root canal through my crown. I immediately said refer me to get it pulled (I never had a tooth pulled), he encouraged me to get a root canal. My mom is all about saving teeth too so it wasn't an option. I went through every excuse of why I could not get a root canal and it was in the back no one would ever see it. I was then honest on why I could never have a root canal again after having a traumatizing experience in Vero. I should not speak on the other endodontist because he is well known and has a great repetition but my experience was unbearable, I had nightmares about feeling everything through most of the procedure. So I absolutely refused to go in Vero, all the other local offices had no emergency on any appts this week or next and I knew I would not be able to stand it. My dentist office spoke very highly of this office in PSL. I am a registered nurse and hate anyone in my mouth, I sit on my hands when I am getting a dental cleaning and ask about ten times if she is almost done, I am the worst patient. I asked my step dad to drive because I was sure I was going to freak out. The front desk girl was nice and welcoming, knew my name before I even told her who I was, explained all the documentation and how to do it and continued to offer assistance. Then the assistant came and got me to do the imaging and she explained everything and was so sweet and gentle, Im sure she could tell I was nervous. She kept a smile on her face and offered her gentle hand when needed throughout the entire visit. She brought me in the chair where i was turning and moving and nervous but she kept me as calm and possible I thought I was going to get up and run. Dr.Elliot came, explained the procedure from A-Z answered every question I had and made sure I was okay through the entire procedure. He had to numb me 3-4 times and even when I thought dont say anything you only are feeling it because of the PTSD from the same thing then I would feel it and he could tell or I spoke up and he continued to keep me numb and comfortable. It was quicker then expected. He even explained when the noise of the drill would get louder and he did a permanent fill in. They gave me medication in the office and explained the follow up needed. I felt no pain not even discomfort or soreness. I am at work and taking care of my patients today, they even called and left a message to follow up today. I would never go anywhere else to get a root canal again the unwanted procedure was very tolerable due to Dr.Elliot and his amazing staff.

I had a root canal here and let me just tell you, Ive had routine cleanings that were more painful and uncomfortable. I actually caught myself dozing off only to be reminded where I was when Dr. Elliott asked me to open my mouth up 😆 Highly recommend for your dental needs.
