What are people saying about dental clinics near Leon County, Florida?

This is a review for dental clinics near Leon County, Florida:

I haven't even seen Dr. Clark yet and already I love this place. I needed a replacement retainer because a new crown rendered the old one ill-fitting. Brenda on the main desk was so friendly and helpful in setting up an appointment and making me feel my needs mattered. She let me know it would be about 10 days until my finished retainer was ready. That was great. I went in on a Monday to get an impression done by the technician. On Tuesday I got a call (not Brenda; some other nice person) asking if I could come in the following Monday and it would be ready! Unfortunately, on that day we were leaving town for the Christmas holiday. I assumed I would need to wait. But the woman on the phone asked me to hold a moment and then they juggled their schedule and -- because the appliance tech was there working on retainers that day -- were able to slot me to come in on Thursday to be fitted. So I will have my retainer during my 2-week trip to Texas, which is great. I realize not everyone can be accommodated this way; there is an element of luck in how this worked out. But the whole staff is so supportive and seem to be determined to make me happy. This is NOT my experience at other dentists. I had a choice where to make my appointment for this $350 appliance, and I chose Dr. Clark because the person on the phone was just lovely in every way, and treated me like an individual and a friend. Tomorrow, I look forward to getting my new retainer, meeting Dr. Clark and telling him what a great staff he has.

So far I’ve had a very bad experience with Clark Orthodontics. For starters in between getting my braces I had a move, so the braces I have on now were not put on originally by this staff (so any wrongdoing with placement of braces is not their fault). Upon trying to get a new consultation to transfer/continue care it took roughly 3-4 months to get in. Once I finally got the appointment and everything squared away everything seemed to be going well, except every appointment I’ve had going forward is pushed out 2-3 months, which I find out when getting out of the chair I’m told to come back 4-6 weeks. Why am I being scheduled sometimes 13 weeks out? This is just dragging out the treatment. The staff tells me that they’re just super booked, which I understand and know it’s not necessarily their fault due to scheduling, but why accept all these clients knowing you don’t have the means to accurately support them. Not to mention once I was scheduled for almost about 3 months out (appointment was 5/18 then was told 8/1 for next appt) which seemed excessive being that I was told to Come back in. 4-6 weeks but they assured me after “looking” there was absolutely nothing else. My mom called them 20 min later and got the appointment moved up to 7/5 - even though I asked them to double and triple check. Nothing was open that fast. If I could go back in time I would stick with my old orthodontist and drive the 4 hours. I at least would’ve had timely spaced out appointments. ** added. This is a horrible experience being that I’ve been going here since Dr. Stevens was the orthodontist and had the best experience with him. I figured that the new orthodontist would’ve been just as pleasant of an experience, but no.
