After being a patient for 20 years, I will NEVER go back. Once the practice was sold to a bigger company and my treating dentist left the practice, I should have taken the hint. I have a broken and infected tooth left in my mouth that the current dentist refused to help me figure out options to treat. It started with a crown that came off. He refused to glue it back on after doing so once before. His only option to me was a new crown. He wanted me to pay $1500 instead of the $500 my insurance company said it should should cost me. Needless to say, wothout the crown, the tooth has now broken in 2 places, from the top to the bottom. The top is so jagged, it cuts the underside of my tongue. I asked for an extraction, he refused, insisting he could fix it with the crown that still cost $1500. When confronted with the fact that I called the insurance company and they said it was covered for $500, he just walked out of the room. Currently it is so infected that I cannot close my jaw. I was there 2 days ago and told them it was throbbing and infected. They would not give me antibiotics without an xray. I never knew xrays could show infections! Wow. Looking in my mouth, the gums are swollen, red, throbbing. The remainder of the tooth is rotting and black. I have completely lost a tooth because of his refusal to to treat it like he should have from the beginning. He won't listen to what youvwant or need. He apparently is only interested in the money.

I found Dental Associates and Dr. Llapur because my insurance was excepted by their office. I am glad I did. He has been wonderful through my treatment there even to my surprise personally calling me the next day after doing a bone graft to check on how I was doing. Unheard of in the life I have lived until now. The entire staff from receptionist to hygienist and assistants have been top notch, professional, caring, and warm. Nothing but good things to say. Highly recommended.
