Dr Barry Stein is the best there is! I would highly recommend Dr Stein for anyone looking for a reputable dentist. He takes the time needed with his patients and his work is top notch! I was a patient for many many years when I lived in Deerfield.

I saw Dr. Stein a few times after moving back to Highland Park, and learned at my last appointment that he was retiring. I met the new dentist, Dr. Mel and was happy to hear she does root canals and implants in addition to regular cleanings. I have genetically terrible teeth so I knew this would be helpful. Not even a month later, on New Year’s Eve, I broke a tooth eating a wasabi pea (as one does).
I called first thing in the morning on January 2, and they got me in that day. Less than one month later, my root canal is done and my new crown is in! Dr. Mel is gentle yet thorough and I never felt like she was hurrying, even when she was drilling for over two hours due to a complex root. I’m so impressed with her work, really like her personality, and I’m looking forward to working with her going forward. I can’t wait to see what she does to make this practice her own! I know we will get to know each other very well in the years to come!
