Been an out of pocket patient here for years. I’ve come in for sensitivity on a tooth probably half a dozen times, requesting referrals MYSELF even to Geisinger because they could not help diagnose my issue. Santos kept saying I was grinding my teeth. Until a week ago I REFFERED myself to an oral surgeon to find out the tooth has a giant hole from decay under my crown. The oral surgeon was able to see this on their X-rays. I called to request some sort of resolution due to spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on exams and X-rays for them to NOT diagnose my issue.

I called and spoke to them, requesting an explanation and possibly a refund for some of those exams or X-rays or SOMETHING. They refuse to call me back or settle this issue. I’m extremely disappointed this is how you do business and I hope I am the only one you did this to because running around with pain and having your doctors tel you that you’re fine when your not is a complete breach of trust. If you plan to go here for anything more than a cleaning, I suggest you go somewhere else. You are just a number or a dollar sign at this office. You guys let me live in pain for years letting me thinking I had TMJ when I really just needed an extraction.

We had been going to this practice for many years when Dr Mitchell was there and loved it. The Dentist who has taken over the practice ( Dr Santos) is extremely rude and unfriendly. I had scheduled an appt for my child’s broken tooth and once we arrived she refused to treat her. The dental tech we saw that day was also extremely unpleasant.

I was fortunate enough to get my child into Geisinger where she got the treatment she needed and everyone there was amazing. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone and would encourage people to search for another dental provider, especially if you plan to take children to this practice.

I have been going to this dental office since 1992. Dr. Santos and her spouse are the current owners. It used to be a family dentistry that really took the time to get to know you, educate you, and they were always friendly and non-judgmental. My last experience was in August of 2024. Dr. Santos informed me that I had several areas of decay. She abruptly then said so we will get you back in to take care of it.

I asked how many cavities I had, where they were on the x ray and then in relation to my mouth. She seemed annoyed. I let her know that I’ve only ever had one cavity before and I was surprised. She looked at me and said, “Can you honestly tell me you floss every day?”. I found that to be offensive. I do floss almost every day. She told me I’m not flossing proficiently. That was it.

I’m in the medical field- if I ever spoke to my patients like that I wouldn’t have any. Abrasive is a word I would use for her. My sister and brother in law no longer go to her because she has done terrible work on their fillings. They had to go back several times. She and I are both from Long Island- I so wanted to respect her and be a long term patient. Go elsewhere!

Horrible experience. This ‘Dentist’ will only refer out for major procedures. She can not prescribe pain medication for a major tooth problem. She is very edgy and uncaring about her patients. I recently had what I thought was a broken tooth, and here it was the crown she had put on not that long before. It totally broke in half and I am currently with another dentist to fix her problem. And yes I have to pay for a whole crown AGAIN. I do not believe she uses quality products but has no problem taking your money.

Please do your research. If someone has such low reviews it’s for a reason. No matter her retort, I was treated very poorly and now refused service. Probably for the best as I was never ever going back. Like ever. On another note, I was dr maximiek’s patient for over 20 years before Santos arrived. Such a shame.
