This is going to be long, but if you are a current or potential customer to Dentologie or Dr. Arroyo I recommend you read. Let me start off by saying, I personally don’t like reviewing businesses negatively, but I feel that my experience at Dentologie was so blatantly egregious, irresponsible and potentially damaging that it has to be public. Before I get into the negatives, I want to at least say that the staff was very nice, the cleaning I received was good, and the office is very nice. No complaints there. Now for my experience, in their examination they found that I had both gingivitis and needed substantial work on my teeth. From multiple cavities to old fillers needing replacement, my dentist, Dr. Arroyo, said I needed to get 2-3 crowns and 12 fillers! I was stunned. And admittedly, I made the mistake of telling them I had not been to the dentist in a few years and that I don’t floss (so there was reason to believe I needed some work). Also, I am losing my dental insurance soon, so some of this work may have been preventive to avoid future problems.

With that said, 12 Fillers and 2-3 crowns are you serious?! My insurance wouldn’t cover it all, so the total cost for this work would be between $4-5k. Dr. Arroyo was kind and (seemingly) informative when breaking the news to me, but she did make me feel pressured to get all this work done. I decided to get a second opinion from a dentist with a good reputation that was recommended by my family (I should’ve just gone to him from the start). And after his examination he found ZERO CAVITIES AND ZERO FILLERS that needed to be replaced. He did say I had a couple of spots that I should watch because they could become cavities, but did not recommend any work at this moment, much less crowns. Frankly, I feel scammed by Dentologie and Dr. Arroyo. I had heard of Dentists who try to sell you work that isn’t necessary, but from everything I read she seemed to have a good reputation and could be trusted. DO NOT go to Dentologie or Dr.

Arroyo. Get a referral from someone you trust instead, it could save your thousands of dollars. P. S. My other dentist said I didn’t have gingivitis either, so they scammed me with that too. TLDR: Dentologie and Dr. Arroyo recommended I get 12 fillers and 2-3 crowns (totaling $4-5k), but after a second opinion found that this was all fake and that I didn’t need any work. They tried taking advantage of me and shouldn’t be trusted.

I am disabled. This is something that I disclose prior to the visit. When I put the address in the GPS, it misled me to a different location. When I reached out to the office, they said that they were aware of that and apologized, but then told me that they would have to cancel my appointment because I would be more than 15 minutes late. The only reason I was 15 minutes late It's because I was misled by the address which they were aware of.

Not to mention, they were aware that I was disabled and had to walk around the entire block to get to the correct address on crutches and they were not willing to make an exception nor were they very polite about the situation. This is very bad business and I do not recommend coming to this establishment. It's very saddening to know that disabled people are not accommodated.

I loved my experience with both the hygienist and doctor. I felt taken care of during my entire experience. The goodie bag post-appointment was awesome! I loathe going to the dentist and this appointment changed my perspective.

As someone who has had many different treatments at many different dentists throughout my life, I can definitely say that the worst clinic and Dr. Arroyo I have ever encountered and probably ever will encounter. I strongly advise you not to go because they could not even fill a tooth, I have been in pain for two months and they cannot even find a solution. A complete disappointment
