I went for a new patient appointment and received deplorable service. I needed x-rays and a cleaning. During the visit, Dr. Nguyen told me I had "a lot" of cavities but wouldn't explain exactly how many or where they were until I insisted she clarify. Then, I was brought a tablet while sitting in the dentist chair to make me submit credit card payment before they would begin any kind of cleaning. That in itself made me extremely uncomfortable, as all medical offices I have ever visited process payment when you check out on your way out of the appointment.

The team did not perform a thorough cleaning but rather only flossed and brushed, and insisted that I make a second appointment to do a more thorough cleaning (but not an industry-standard 2-part scaling and root planing). They told me I would then have to come back for a THIRD appointment to address my cavities. Even if all of this was standard practice, neither the hygienists nor the doctor were upfront, professional, or communicative at any point throughout the visit. Here's the kicker. I visited a new office the following week to get a second opinion, where I learned that I in fact had NO cavities that needed addressing. I also learned that the x-rays that my insurance was billed for only included about 5 bite wing pictures; most offices take about 20 pictures to get a thorough view of teeth health.

Those 5 pictures did not even include a view of the roots of my teeth, so my new dentist could only guess at my root health. Because Cornerstone billed my insurance for full x-rays, I will not be able to get an actual thorough bite wing x-rays for another 5 years (unless I pay hundreds out of pocket, because insurance only covers x-rays once every 5 years). If you are looking for a dentist in the area, absolutely do not choose Cornerstone.
