Go somewhere else and save yourself from a terrible experience. After going to another Dentfirst location for around ten years where I attended every 6 months and always had perfect exams and x-rays and never needed anything other than routine cleaning I moved to the Lennox Road location because it was a little more convenient as a location . What a terrible mistake! The first visit the hygienist immediately 'found' gum issues that she insisted I needed a 'periodontal deep cleaning' for.

She refused to do a regular cleaning first and let me come back for the perio cleaning - Of course the perio was a more lucrative procedure which is not completely covered by my insurance and involved significant out of pocket payments from me. Having agreed to the cleaning I am now saddled with additional "post-perio" cleanings that involve additional costs each time I go. Funny how after years of regular exams and cleanings and meticulous brushing and flossing multiple times a day - suddenly multiple gum pocket issues are suddenly 'found' when you see a new hygienist at a new location within 6 months of the last exam.

I don't believe for a second that this 'perio cleaning' was necessary and the hygienist's attitude stank - She refused to do a simple clean on my teeth while we were waiting to see how much of the perio clean my insurance actually covered - so I had to go several months without any cleaning and she was perfectly ok with that. The dentist who examined my teeth did not seem to agree with the hygienist's findings and corrected many of the 'gum pocket depths' the hygienist had come up with but he was too timid to ask her to revoke the need for a perio cleaning once she had made a decision to 'require it'. With hygienists like this I suggest you go elsewhere or at least get a second opinion before you agree to any costly procedures and be careful - once you buy into the perio clening stuff - you are saddled with more post-perio cleaning that is more expensive than a regular clean

This practice is absolutely spectacular. Dr Salazaar will walk you through every step he is taking and make you very comfortable. The staff is very polite, professional and knowledgeable.Especially Latonia she is great at what she does! This is the only place I’ll be going while I live here.
