When Dr. Buffington was on leave the whole atmosphere of the office changed and not for the better. During her leave I went for just a cleaning. When getting ready to leave I was told to wait, that they had one more procedure to perform. Then they started inserting an instrument into my mouth. I never authorized this and they never explained to me what the procedure was.

After that I again made an attempt to leave. They said that a different dentist wanted to see me. Someone in the office staff came in and told me that they needed to make appointments for me for future dental work and would need a deposit. I called the next day and told them that I was very upset about having a procedure done to me that I did not authorize. Now I received a large bill when I was only there for a cleaning and a cleaning is covered a hundred per cent by my insurance company. After talking with the insurance company I have found out that they have paid some on the procedure that I did not authorize.

The insurance company was billed for an additional procedure that I had already paid for that day. When discussing with the office what happened I was told that my insurance company changed my insurance without telling me. This is not true. I do not trust going back due to trying to perform what does not need to be done and then charging both me and my insurance company.

The absolute BEST dentis I ever had. I’ve had some really bad experiences with dentists and have anxiety. Her office took me in when I had covid in Jan 2021 with a root canal abscess and when I say she calmed my fears is an understatement. I’ve been going to her every since and will NOT be changing until she retires. The staff is also so tentative to your needs. Feels like family!
