Coming here was the best decision I could’ve ever made for my smile! They worked with me every step of the way and explained the entire process. My smile looks stunning and so natural. I have zero complaints. Could not recommend this place more!

Dr. Shukoor is a great guy, but he is VERY unreliable in terms of scheduling. I started coming to this location in 2023 and I book my appointments 6 months in advance. Recently, every other appointment I've made at this office has resulted in his office staff calling me (usually a 3ish day notice) because the Dr will not be in office, and asking me if I'm ok to only be seen by the hygenist or asking me to reschedule.
The last time they cancelled on me (with a 3 days notice) I was only given the option to reschedule my appointment for 27 days later to accommodate their schedule. I understand that things pop up, but I have never been cancelled on by my dentist, at all, and especially not to this degree of frequency nor short notice. I do not recommend this office if you want a reliable professional service.

The office is very impressive and the staff was polite, but I feel quite annoyed and disappointed that I wasted my money to visit this dentist. I have some relatively extensive work that I need done in the top right side of my mouth, so I reached out to make an appointment. Because I waitress full time & work in a nightclub on weekends, my teeth are a super important because my appearance largely determines my income. Also, I don’t have insurance. I made it clear that I did not have insurance and would be paying out of pocket when booking. I asked the woman how much the initial consultation would be. She told me $130. No problem. I took the afternoon off from work. I paid $40 to take an Uber to the office instead of the train. I arrived and the office was nice and the lady at the front desk was polite.
The Dr met with me very quickly after I arrived and spoke to me for between 5-7 minutes. He looked at my teeth for about 10 seconds. Then, he tells me he’s gonna get an Xray to see what kind of work I’m going to need and we can make a plan before moving on to his next patient. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. My issues with my teeth are something I’m very self conscious about and he had a very good bedside manner. However, after he left the front desk girl came back in and told me she had a treatment plan for me to sign. So far this is all pretty much how every dentist appointment I’ve ever been to goes. Then I look at what she is showing me and it is a bill for another $350. So to reiterate: over the phone she told me $130. I paid the $130. The dentist looked in my mouth for 10 seconds, spoke to me for less than 10 minutes, and now they are asking for another $350.
When I mention every other dentist includes the Xray in the price of the visit and that I specifically asked what the total cost would be because I’m self pay, she tells me it’s because this is a *3D* X Ray. She didn’t know he was going to order one for me… I don’t know. I was very detailed in my initial correspondence with them and the way he told me I was meant to get the X Ray definitely made it seem like something he does for everyone. I found it incredibly dishonest to triple the cost of my visit after my arrival. Basically my options at this point were to give them every dollar I had in my checking account for this X ray they sprung on me, or I could reschedule and come back, get charged the $130 AGAIN, plus the $350, and leave the initial appointment having paid $130 to have him look in my mouth for 10 seconds. I told her I couldn’t afford it and pointed out that when I asked the cost of the visit she didn’t say “$130 plus whatever diagnostics he orders” or “$130 and maybe the cost of a 3d X-ray” (in fact, I’ve included the texts between us below) and she left the room only for ANOTHER woman that works there to come in and try to, I don’t know, coax me into giving them triple what I was originally told? What annoyed me the most is that I would have put that much aside if she had given me any sort of indication the cost would go from $130 to $480. The whole thing felt very inconsiderate to me. So I paid $130 for basically nothing and then was treated like I was being hysterical and unreasonable when I communicated that they had misrepresented and mischaracterized what exactly I was paying for on arrival. Like, what was the $130 for? That 5 minute conversation where he basically told me eventually I’ll have paid him $25,000? Not worth it.

I had a fantastic experience at DC Implant and Cosmetic dentistry with Dr. Shukoor. He’s not only highly professional and skilled but also incredibly friendly and approachable. From start to finish, he made sure I was comfortable and well-informed about the procedures.
The welcoming atmosphere of the clinic and the caring attitude of the entire team made my visit truly exceptional. If you’re looking for a dentist who combines expertise with a personal touch, I highly recommend Dr. Shukoor!
