I called for a dental emergency and had an appointment that same day. The Dr was amazing they took their time with me and made sure I was pain free. He made room on his schedule to fit me in for the rest of the care I needed for the following week. They were so kind and gentle with my situation.

I used this dental office in 2022 while living in Fruita, Colorado. I had the absolute worst experience with Dr. Chisholm. He had done fillings on a few of my teeth, one in which was left with terrible pain afterwards. I kept scheduling appointments for bite adjustments as the problem was not getting resolved, and my pain was persistent with chewing. Dr.

Chisholm refused to work with me any longer when he realized he was not able to fix the issue. He threw his hands in the air, while I was in the chair, and said “there is nothing more I can do for you” and walked out of my cubicle. The assistant was very empathetic and appeared as if she had maybe seen this reaction from him before. I left crying, as I was still having pain. After seeing another dentist, at a different Comfort Dental, it was discovered in an X-ray that the filling of the affected tooth, done by Dr. Chisholm, was touching my nerve and therefore killing my tooth.

I needed a root canal. Had Dr. Chisholm thought to take an X-ray, or approach my issue differently (rather than having me come back for failed adjustment after failed adjustment), it would have saved us both a lot of time and frustration. This experience haunts me, as no patient should be treated the way I was.

Not happy with my visit. I showed up early to fill out new patient paperwork and was finished before the start of my apt time, only to wait 15 mins past the start of my apt time. They did xrays and and the doctor looked at my teeth, said I needed so work done. Then I was told I could have a fast cleaning now or come back later.

So of course I chose later, who wants a poorly done cleaning?? However later for them means June! If there was literally anywhere else accepting new patients I wouldn't have scheduled a follow up Update: have not heard from the office at all. I got in sooner at fun at the denist! Went back into the office today to sign paperwork and they clearly don't call their cancelation list as they were scheduling people on the phone for this upcoming week.

I have had some previous experiences here that weren't very good but I recently went in for terrible tooth pain and ended up having to get two molars extracted 😔 I'm so grateful to Dr Joshua Hollingshead and his staff for going above and beyond to make payment affordable (insurance didn't cover it) and making it as painless and comfortable as possible. I truly can't thank them enough and will always ask for him personally any time I need services in the future. Comfort Dental is truly blessed to have a man of such integrity that cares about his profession and patients so much.
