About
Dr. William F. Scott IV was raised in the shore community of Brick, New Jersey. From a young age, he enjoyed working with his hands- from wood working to project vehicles- he loved the intricate detail and precision that went into it. Eventually, he was afforded the opportunity to work as a dental assistant for his family dentist, where he fell in love with the field of dentistry. Dentistry combined his love of working with his hands and creating personal connections with the people he served. Dr. Scott attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick for his Bachelor's degree where he studied Philosophy and Sociology. To this day, he attributes his unwavering honest and moral character and desire to truly help people to his undergraduate courses. He then went on to study at both New York University where he received a Certificate in Clinical Research and University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ (UMDNJ), graduating at the top of his class with a Masters in Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacology. While at UMDNJ, his contributions as a primary researcher earned him recognition on the published journal titled ``Broad-Spectrum Biofilm Inhibition by Kingella kingae Exopolysaccharide``. Furthermore, he credits his advance knowledge about the various types of pharmaceutical drugs, how they work, and their interactions with other drugs and different conditions, to his time at both universities. Dr. Scott is proud to have received his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry. Accompanying his leading clinical education, he volunteered at Elwyn, a special needs dental clinic, provided oral health screenings and education for the homeless and elderly, and participated in numerous outreach programs across Philadelphia. His experiences interacting with many diverse patients has furthered his love of establishing personal connections as well as aided his ability in communicating compassionately and effectively. Dr. Scott graduated with certifications in InVisalign and Nitrous oxide sedation. After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Scott successfully completed a general practice residency from Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ, where he received hands on training from some of the best specialists in New Jersey. From emergency situations and complex cases to routine cleanings and crowns, Dr. Scott is skilled in many facets of dentistry and he is confident his patients will be pleased with the quality of his work and level of care he provides. Dr. Scott holds active licenses in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for General Dentistry, including cosmetic and family practice dentistry. When he isn't serving his patients, Dr. Scott is an active part of the Warren, New Jersey community. He is a parishioner and active member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Mount. He also participates in the Warren Taekwondo community where he trains in martial arts. Dr. Scott enjoys drumming and live music events, and working on his project vehicle. He is an avid outdoorsman and most importantly, he loves spending time with his wife, Nicole and their two dogs, Dallas and Georgia.
