Susan Hood and her Assistant engaged in a verbal altercation while performing dental procedure on my tooth. Susan had a sharp object in my mouth. Assistant was upset Susan wouldn't let her go to lunch. Susan abruptly left me alone with the very upset Assistant. My mouth was numbed so I could only feel the yanking and twisting from the visibly upset Assistant. I was confused and afraid. I complained to Coast Dental. I was assured the Assistant was no longer there and it would be safe for me to return. When I returned her new assistant last name Green was very defensive and rude to me. Susan Hood inserted a tooth in my mouth so big my teeth shifted over the following months. I had to be fitted for a Hawley Appliance which I will probably have to wear for the rest of my life . She was kind of rude and impersonal. She acted frustrated and defensive when I expressed concerns about the height of my cavity filling. The filling she did was very rushed and she showed little care or paid attention to you when you show signs of discomfort.

Dr. Hood is excellent! She makes you feel like you’re her only patient :). She takes her time, is gentle, very patient, detailed, and knowlegeable. I have been there about four times now. Each time, I am welcomed by wonderful staff. One, however, Tammy ignored me repeatedly when I tried to get her attention to pay after treatment. She opted to remain on the phone for a very long period of time and proceeded to ignore me intentionally even though I indicated to her that I needed to leave.

She was rude, Didn't introduce herself, and was very nasty when asking questions. I felt like crap,and because I had a medical card she could talk any kind of way to me. The other dentist I use to see there was way better.
