About
Dr. Sue Shariff is a board certified endodontist who has been in private practice for over 15 years. She grew up in Peoria, Illinois and has spent most of her life in the Midwest. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she entered the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and the Harvard School of Public Health, earning both a doctorate in medical dentistry (D.M.D.) and a Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) in 1998. Her post-graduate education was completed at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she received a Certificate in Endodontics in 2000. In that same year, Dr. Shariff joined Fox Valley Endodontic Specialists. In addition to being a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Shariff is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, Fox River Valley Dental Society, Elgin Dental Study Club, and Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. She is very dedicated to her practice and attends numerous educational seminars throughout the year to ensure she is providing the highest caliber of endodontic treatment and using the most current techniques and state-of-the-art equipment. Dr. Shariff is married and has one daughter. She loves spending time with her family and traveling. She looks forward to continuing to serve her patients in the city of Elgin and surrounding communities for many years to come.
