About

Dr. Murmann grew up in Columbia Missouri and graduated from high school in 1976. He went Monmouth College right here in Monmouth Illinois graduating with a Chemistry degree in 1980. 5 years later after attending dental school in Kansas City Dr. Murmann returned to Monmouth and started his dental practice in 1985 . His 3 children having benefited from small town living are now grown and living in the midwest Dr. Murmann is a member of the American Dental Association, International Association of Orthodontics, Illinois State Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry. Our practice focuses on orthodontics, prevention, cosmetics, reconstructive implants, crown & bridgework, and the overall dental health of our patients. On a personal front, Dr. Murmann enjoys golf, fishing and sailing.

I came to Dr Murmann needing extractions and I was ultimately going to need dentures. He said during our consult that he could do the work only to then say that he could not when he had me back in the chair. Once I had extractions done elsewhere (three hours away!), he then proceeded to tell me that he would not provide my dentures since he didn't pull my teeth. There is something inherently wrong with that determination considering he WOULDN'T pull my teeth. His chairside manner is terrible and he has zero humanity in him.

New patient visit for first semi-annual cleaning for 2018. Dr. Murmann completed my new patient cleaning & checkup himself. Very personable & knowledgeable, easy to engage. Would highly recommend to those in the Monmouth, IL needing a dentist.
