John K. Vargas, D.D.S. received his degree from theUniversity of Maryland College of Dental Surgery. After completing his training, Dr. Vargas pursued an additional year of study at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where he received extensive training in restoring implants, cosmetics and other crown and bridge procedures. Dr. Vargas has practiced in Washington, DC, Boston and New York. He also was a clinical instructor at theUniversity of Maryland College of Dental Surgery where he had the opportunity to educate and guide the next generation of young dentists. Dr. Vargas is an active member of the New York State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Academy of General Dentistry. He has also volunteered for Operation Smile in Hanoi and Hue, Vietnam, where he provided volunteer dental services to disadvantaged children. When he's not at the office, Dr. Vargas enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He loves to hike in Rockefeller State Park with his dog, try NYC restaurants, travel and play his guitar. John K. We are a preventative and family-oriented general practice treating adults and children in Mt. Kisco since 1992. Our office provides a wide range of services utilizing advanced technology. These include crowns, bridges, tooth colored fillings, laser assisted non-surgical gum treatments and implant restorations. Cosmetic treatments include porcelain veneers, bonding and deep bleaching (teeth whitening) and InvisalignA . We do this using digital X-rays, a diagnostic laser, and often with a laser that replaces the drill. For those who suffer from sleep apnea or snoring, working with a physician, we can often make an oral appliance. This resembles a night guard that can reposition the jaw. This opens the airway alleviating symptoms and reducing the need for CPAP.
