About
Hi! I am Dr. Shannon McCarthy and I have been practicing dentistry for over 2 decades. In that time, I have encountered all types of dental patients. Most people are delighted to come and have their teeth professionally cleaned and checked and others have come to me as a last resort. Through listening and understanding, I have helped a lot of people overcome their fears and helped them smile again. I am a firm believer that gentle dentistry is a combination of amazing experiences, advanced training, the latest technology and simply having the desire to care for people who are afraid of the dentist. As I see lives change by transforming smiles, helping people chew better or getting them out of pain, I find real fulfillment in what I do.. On a personal note, I am a graduate of Nardin Academy and SUNY Buffalo. I have trained extensively in some of the country's finest universities and hospitals over the past 20 years. I have one standard poodle named Luc. My love for animals has inspired my interest and involvement in dog rescue and placement programs. Fee free to ask me about adopting a furbaby.
