Dr. Paul Showers, DDS

Went in and did a temporary cover/root canal and the very next day that exact tooth cracked. Had to go to another DDS to get it fixed. Do not recommend going to this DDS.

If there was a 0 star I would rate him a 0!!!!I went to him for a root canal in July 2020 and was still in pain the next few days like really bad. I called and he said its normal for you to still be sore for awhile. OK! Well a 1 month pass and I call again ,same answer, take some pain killers ok so now I'm taking pain killers for months daily .He takes some X-rays and says "EVERYTHING IS FINE" well he's the expert so I believe him. Well here we are into October. Almost 4 months, still pain with migraines and stomach issues now. Go back takes another X-ray and says the tooth he worked on is perfectly fine...it must be the tooth next to it .Now we are into November and am still in crazy pain. I go see DR. SHOWERS again. He's still not trying to fix it and now I have a 2nd opinion. HE MISSED A 4TH CANAL. Not 1x did he think it could be his error. Never resolved and NO refund was issued for this. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!!!!

I have seen Dr. Shows twice now, just a week ago (January 2021) and 3 years earlier for a consultation regarding an apparently needed root canal. My visit 3 years ago was from a recommendation from another endodontist telling me I needed two root canals. Dr. Showers did not feel I needed a root canal. He took the time for a thorough exam and he was right! I did not need a root canal. 3 years later I was having some pain in the same tooth and again I saw Dr. Showers who attributed the pain to a recent implant and not the tooth in question. A CT scan for the implant was read as my having an abscess. There was no abscess, it was artifact, as Dr. Showers noted. Bottom line: Dr. Showers takes the time and does not do procedures just to do them and make "money". Dr. Showers has saved me twice from undergoing an unnecessary root canal. I will always consult Dr. Showers anytime I am told by another dentist/endodontist/oral surgeon to undergo any significant procedures. I trust Dr. Showers.

I would recommend to anyone, especially those with anxiety like myself. He kept me distracted and made me laugh, all while dealing carefully with my sore and bruised gums. I have white coat hypertension, but this was a very smooth visit.

Don't go here! Just today, I had to have a SECOND root canal retreated! Showers initially treated both my maxillary 1st molars, but missed a 4th canal in both. He does not utilize modern technology, just hopes he got it all. Don't risk your health by going here!

I needed an emergency root canal. Doctor Showers and his staff are professional, punctual and friendly. Unfortunately, this is my 4th root canal. However, this was by far the least painful and stress free I have undergone. He explained everything in a clear manner and had a sense of humor which for me alleviates any anxiety that may accompany a root canal. He called me the next day to see how I was which was much appreciated.

His examination and consultation upon your first visit leave you with the feeling that he is right choice for your endodontic issue. I was apprehensive and anxious about a root canal but Dr. Showers has eliminated all anxiety and nervousness re. any dental work in the future. Not only was the root canal a total success but it bordered on painless! I received wonderful treatment, follow-up and answers to all my questions. The staff was very friendly and professional from the receptionist/office mgr. to the assistant. I would recommend Dr. Showers for his obvious care and professionalism, listening skills and follow up.
