Went to our own pediatric dentist. Son is combative so we opt to be reffered out for his 3 cavities to be filled via IV sedation. So we were told Tebo Dental (Lilburn) does IV routinely. You need to know right off at my sons age IV is 100% covered because of his age no matter the procedure, I called my insurance to confirm before making an apointment with Tebo. Well we get in there and suddenly Tebo thinks he "needs" 6 caps for surface cavities that the dentist also says can be just watched/floss brush. Looking on the x-ray they would be squinters for sure.Well, woncha know I state I just want the cavitied filled as recommended by my dentist (he is having adenoids removed) Suddenly (and I called my insurance before this post after the apointment, so according to Tebo Dental) IV wont be covered if we are just doing the cavities. We need to do "some of the 6 caps" to get IV sedation covered. Horrible money grab.
