About
Dr. Josephine Puleo is a Chicagoland native. Raised in Niles, she attended Resurrection High School in Chicago. She then attended Loyola University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While attending Loyola, Dr. Puleo worked part-time as a dental assistant where she gained her interest in the field of dentistry. After graduating college, she attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry where she obtained he Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Puleo graduated in top five of her class. As a result of her academic accomplishments, Dr. Puleo was awarded induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Since graduating dental school, Dr. Puleo has furthered her education in the area of dentistry through numerous continuing education course in all fields of dentistry. She can often be found reading dental articles on current dental products and treatments. Dr. Puleo has volunteered to provide dentistry to the underprivileged. In 2008 and 2009, she traveled to Jamaica as part of the 1000 Smiles. In 2012, Dr. Puleo and Dr. Bronke participated in Illinois Dental Mission of Mercy. Dr. Puleo is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society. Chicago Dental Society, Arcolian Dental Society, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Puleo currently resides in Park Ridge with her husband, son, and dog. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, crafting, and working out. She and her son are both animal lovers and can often be found together at the zoo or simply feeding the birds.
