About
Dr. Vanik's college career started at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he studied biochemistry and molecular biology. This prior course allowed him to approach dentistry through a very scientific lens. He then pursued his dental doctorate at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, which was great for a few different reasons. First, because it's the first dental school in the world and offers outstanding training in conventional dental techniques, and second, because they spend a great deal of time ensuring that dentists who graduate from the program are very confident with procedures that many graduates from other schools don't quite master. Dr. Vanik is married to his lovely wife Adeline and is fortunate to have two wonderful parents, two awesome in-laws, and a younger brother. When he isn't busy at work, he loves to travel! So far, he's gone throughout Europe, North America, and some of Asia with his wife; personally, he's reached 25 countries in total. His experiences overseas and around the country have definitely broadened his perspective. He also really enjoys trying foods and drinks from other cultures. As for personal hobbies, he likes to hunt, fish, read, and work out. He's a big sports fan too and keeps up with international soccer in particular – in fact, he and Adeline were both the captains of their respective varsity soccer teams in high school!
