An honors graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Biology as well as the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, Dr. Scott performed his oral surgery residency at Georgia Health Sciences University in Augusta, Georgia. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Eastern District Dental Society and Augusta Dental Society.
Dr. Scott is a native of Jakin, Georgia, is married with three children, and is an active member of Warren Baptist Church of Augusta.
Care Philosophy
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Drs. O'Neal, Trotter, Scott, Blevins or Neal manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Drs. O'Neal, Trotter, Scott, Blevins or Neal practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Our office can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures. Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation and outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting.
