Had teeth cleaned today wonderful experience have one tooth that needs to be pulled. They wanted me to pay my patient portion today in order to make the appointment to come back and have the tooth extracted and then my insurance would pay the rest. I pay the day the services are rendered who doesn’t Your practices are stupid.
I was told the 45.00 consultation fee would be refunded if i hadwork done. They quoted me between 280 and400 for anexreaction. When they told me the cost was 420.00 and they would refund 45.00 consultation I paid. They did not refund 45.00. They said they extraction cost was 465.00 because it was a surgical extraction. It was definitely not. Once it was numb it took 1and a half minutes to extract. I think this practice is very dishonest in billing and how they explain, my sister heard exactly what I heard. I will find another dentist
As a new patient, we made an appointment for cleaning services.After an hour of waiting for a 10 am appointment, when questioned, we were told that they had an 'issue' that caused undue delays. We rescheduled the appointment for two weeks later. The second visit was just as bad. Again, there was over an hour delay on a 10 am appointment time. Since we made back to back appointment times for the second visit, we cancelled the second appointment. The first appointment lasted until 1145, due to another 'issue'. We were told that to prevent any 'issues', it would be best for us to schedule an 8 am appointment time. The dentist would not even come to the front counter to discuss. Needless to say, we are now looking for a different dentist in the Hartwell area
Updated (August 1, 2023): While the staff is great, the billing sucks! They have yet to get an accurate cost of what my insurance will bill and leave me paying more than they originally tell me. I had an appointment yesterday, and found out for the first time that there were charges on my account from over 18 months ago! Who does that? When asked how and why, they gave me the runaround. I asked them to rerun one of the charges through the ins because they originally filed it with the wrong dentist's name on the claim (never saw him and he was out-of-network). Nope. They are supposed to be in-network, but keep filing claims with out-of-network drs on them. I think they are just trying to get more money from the patients. I am over them; tired of the BS. Looking for a new dentist.
Hygiene services have been hit and miss over the past 5 years, but this morning's experience was notably poor - D- (d-minus) grade. Rush, to the point of painful intrusions into the gum line, on 4 occasions and feedback was ignored by the tech/hygienist. Quick buff and a superficial overview. Full eighteen minutes (18) start to finish? Worst cleaning experience of my life... will not return. DDS on staff is never the same. Bad business model. STAY AWAY --- unacceptable QC and dental care, net net, all things considered.
The experience started out great with Dr long and then Dr Kramer sent the lady helping him over to us and then he came over and rudely told me to shut off my mothers phone. I told him that her phone was linked to her hearing aids and I was trying to turn the ringer down and he rolled his eyes and left the room. Kelsey and Paten told us everything was ok and not to worry about this . My mother paid over 2,000 dollars cash and had it not been for Kelsey working there se would have left. I personally have used Dr Smiths office for over 20 years and I Never have had an awful experience like this before. If Dr Kramer continues to treat patients like this this company will definitely loose patients. My mother is elderly and she thought she had done something wrong and l had to keep reassuring her that she didn’t. On a good note the rest of the staff were great and Dr Long was kind and he didn’t rush through and he answered all of my mothers questions .
