About
Dr. Catharine Kennedy attended the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry where she graduated at the top of her class. During her time at UIC she earned eight prestigious awards given for excellent academic and clinical performance. She also held a position as a teaching assistant and was involved in a research project regarding the risks of dental treatment on patients presenting with high blood pressure. Prior to dental school Dr. Kennedy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following dental school she completed a one year General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she obtained advanced experience in all aspects of general dentistry and hospital based dentistry. Dr. Kennedy is an active member in several dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Kennedy regularly attends programs for continuing dental education in order to always provide the highest quality of care to her patients. Dr. Kennedy grew up in Barrington Illinois and currently lives in Deer Park with her husband and their new baby! She is an avid animal lover, and is proud to consider two rescue dogs and a horse as part of her family. She has been providing dental care for patients of the Northwest Suburbs since finishing her residency in 2012, and looks forward to doing so for many years to come! Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Limardi have been working together since they first met in dental school in 2007! They completed several rotations in public health clinics together during their time in school, including treating children and adults with limited access to care and also treating patients with special needs. They even completed their residencies together. They look forward to continuing to work as a team to provide the highest standard of dental care for their patients for many years to come!
